6 Ballygunge Place is a favourite among locals for some great bengali food. They have a great buffet, which is reasonable and affordable as well. The a la carte seating is on the 1st floor, with its own interior charm. A hidden gem here is the Gondhoraaj Lebu Ghol and Gondhoraaj Chicken(in starters). Blends in the goodness of Gondhoraaj lime is a perfect fusion with complementing food items. Do try their Mutton Kosha and Basanti Pulao as well!
Okay! On 23rd of February my mother wished to have Bengali food for my birthday dinner & where else could I have taken her other than 6, Ballygunge Place which ranks among one of the top restaurants that serves Authentic Bengali Food. I would have given 5 stars but have deducted 0.5 Because we opted for Buffet & no welcome drink was served & I was unlucky a bit as they were not offering Daab Chingri & Nolen Gurer Ice-cream on that very day. Popular Bengali Instrumental Music at the background was appropriate in setting the ambience right Chicken & Mutton were very tender and succulent,had no issues while tearing it off. Melted easily. And the delicacies where very light on stomach specially chicken and mutton Aloo bhaja,begun bhaja & koraishutir luchi were served as Complimentary. Service was prompt and staffs were very courteous & helpful. Would recommend everyone who are looking for savouring Bengali dishes. P.S. THANK YOU to all the Management & Staffs.
Food is good but prices are sky high.....better to find an alternative if you don't want to dig in your pocket.
