The resort's culinary offerings are a delightful treat, with a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. The pool and backwaters access add to the overall charm, providing a relaxing escape. Flamingo Marari Hotel is a true gem for those seeking a tranquil and beautiful getaway. Highly recommended!
Small property with facilities which are adequate for a few days stay. Kayaking to the beach was great fun and we enjoyed some nice meals in the restaurant. Service was friendly. Compared to other places we stayed it was overpriced for what was offered.
We enjoyed our stay at the flamingo. Cute little hotel decked away close to Marari beach. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious which helped with our little kids. Staff at the restaurant were very accommodating and helpful. Canoe was quite some fun. For anyone wanting to spend time at Marari beach, definitely recommend this.
Incredible place! Friendly and service-oriented staff, amazing atmosphere and fantastic food! The canoe trip to the beach was one of the absolute highlights of my visit to India.
Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel proved to be an enchanting retreat, embracing us with its beautiful Kerala-style architecture that exuded traditional charm. The intricate wooden carvings and sloping roofs blended seamlessly with the serene surroundings of Mararikulam. Stepping into the hotel felt like stepping into a tranquil oasis, where we could immerse ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the hotel's amazing, friendly, and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived, their warm welcome and attentive service made us feel valued as guests. They were always ready to assist with any request, whether it was offering local recommendations or catering to our dining preferences at the hotel's restaurant. Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem that combines captivating architecture with exceptional hospitality. It provided the perfect escape from our daily routines, allowing us to experience the authentic essence of Kerala. We felt at home, thanks to the genuine smiles and warm hospitality of the staff. If you seek a peaceful and memorable stay with a touch of traditional Kerala charm, Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel is the ideal choice. We can't wait to return and relish their outstanding service once more!
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. What's good - - The service is top notch. Polite and well mannered staff. - The resort is well located right on Mararikulam main road so getting to the resort shouldn't be a problem. - Kerala food at this place is top notch. Restaurant Manager Mr Anil really makes your dining experience quite good. He is always on his toes to make sure the guests are happy. The staff is also really accommodating when it comes to your food preferences and they are welcome to take food orders which are off the menu. Tried Grilled Fish and Grilled chicken steak for Continental. This is passable since the menu said Lemon butter sauce but the sauce and flavours were non existent. Better to stick to the local cuisine here. - There is no direct beach access from this resort but you can row a boat (provided by the resort) through the backwater canal behind the resort, to the mararikulam beach. This is an amazing / must try experience. What could be better- - Seems like a well maintained property, until you notice these. Water leaking from the wooden ceiling, A/C without vent flap (you cannot adjust the swing of the A/C without this) and the result is direct A/C air to the bed). -Food seems slightly over priced here. 520 for a fish curry (although a good one) is exorbitant. 130 for a small portion of kerala style stir fried cabbage (Cabbage thoran) was also heart sinking. -The mattress on the bed could be better. Seemed like a low quality one. Not acceptable after paying 7500 per night. - The bathroom interior although good, seemed slightly overdone. Steps with sharp edges in a bathroom is unnecessary and like an accident waiting to happen. This could have been designed better / avoided. My wife almost lost her footing once due to the steps. -A dressing room inside the bathroom didn't make practical sense. You would have to carry your luggage/clothes through the bathroom , negotiating the steps and then access it. The access to this should have been provided from the main room itself. - There is no luggage stand or a teapoy / small table in the room we stayed. These are basic facilities and should be provided without being asked for. -The backwater canal behind the resort carries dirty water during low tide and at times emits foul smell. This is only during low tide where water recedes in the canal and starts to look like drainage. Not a pleasant site / experience during dine in. Worth a visit if the price is reasonable.
One of the best experiences we ever had ! Traditional architecture, well maintained rooms, amazing staff, a relaxing pool and extraordinary food. The unique experience of canyoning, which is offered by Flamingo, was a wonderful experience. A special mention to two people Mr Anil and the chef ( sorry I forgot the name). Mr Anil was such an energetic host and he helped us with all that we needed. If you need a break and want to spend in a calm and relaxing atmosphere, this is your best option. PS: I forgot my phone charger there and it was a new one and after traveling a long distance that I realized that I lost it there. Immediately, I contacted the people concerned, and they sent my charger as a courier. It was such a great gesture from them. Overall, I am totally satisfied with Flamingo
We loved the experience at Flamingo. The highlight was of course rowing the canoe to the beach. The view just got better and better. We had such a lovely time. There was a little electrical problem in the room. And the breakfast menu was pretty basic. Apart from that, it was excellent. Unforgettable experience!
