Fisherman's Local Bar & Restaurant - Seafood restaurant in Canacona - South Goa, India

Everything was wonderful, but especially the thali. We ordered kind fish thali with cashew fenny. The fish and seafood was really fresh. I personally have a keen dislike towards stale seafood. For me, getting it this fresh literally meant foodgasm. Our server was very kind. He would refill upon request and genuinely enjoyed us watching inhale the entire content of the thali. Will visit again. Must have if you're around.

Good food. Both times had relatively long-awaited services. However sea-food dishes are the best. Also try Aloo Gobi.

Heard about this from some locals and google reviews....thought of trying it for lunch...on the main palolem road near the beach this place has some parking also available. Food was good , fresh fish and prawns...but service was too poor...maybe it was peak time hence 2 people cudnt balance the no of orders and expectation of customers. It was too hot , as kitchen was open and with every morsel , we were sweating... Food was tasty though , so not much regrets... Some things to improve...they need better washrooms, its a deterrent if someone goes there first...overall cleaner place , color tone inside is dark , and is not very helpful for eating. Better painting , overhauling of entire infrastructure , moving kitchen to another place or having better ventilation can take this place to bigger heights

We have tried fish thali(normal), fish thali-king fish and prawn thali. Overall the taste was okay okay type. In thali, they have served that specific fish fry.

One of the best places in Palolem to eat fresh fish. We repeated the visit as not only we enjoyed the freshness of the food but staff was also very courteous. We enjoyed crab and lobster specially. Curries, though they were tasty, were too spicy despite asking them to not add too much of spice. We mostly ate fish, however we also went for Malai kebab. Meat was soft and yummy. I definitely recommend the place for sea food lovers.

Had ordered for two thali's and noodles with hot garlic chicken. Was not impressed the noodles were a bit extra oily and the chicken was fine the thali's were ok ok nothing grand about it. One thali had a piece of bone in the curry instead of prawns was not really impressed by this place! Had also ordered for masala prawns which were tiny and also bebinca with ice cream for 250? They gave me one 10 rupee ice cream cup which was melting and it looked more like curdled up milk and the bebinca was okish.

So went here just searching for some local food not fancy restaurant Fisherman's thought it will have good fish dishes and it did not fail to impress Ended up ordering Chicken thali had a punjabi style gravy sadly but nicely made unexpected in Goa sweet flavour of onion and perfect cooked chicken with aloo sabzi Fishermans Fish thali had clams masal Made in basic onion tomato Turmeric served with good quantity of rice Sukhafish which usually takes over other ingredients made in stir fried bell pepper and onion softened Fish curry made In coconut milk was show stopper with some zesty mild tang The perfect technique to Rawa fry surmai I could see here The fish had not absorbed much oil quite impressed still crispy and flaky perfect cooked Better thali than so called famous kokani kanteen of north ...

It's a great restaurant near palolem beach. Both veg and non veg dishes are available here. Food is very tasty. They serve tandoori chicken items with finger chips and green salad. They also have non veg and veg thalis. Mr. Pintu is very nice, polite person and he looked after our orders on my last visit here. Update October 2023 : Food taste is very good. Staffs are very friendly and cooperative. Service is also quick. Especially fish thali and veg thali's are very tasty. Ambience is great with good music.
