Firgunn Stays by Honeybees - Hotel in Manali - Kullu, India

Decent budget accommodation with clean and large room and washroom, running hot water, great views of the mountains. We enjoyed the privacy and quietness all around and the three minutes uphill walk to the Manu temple, starting from where and downwards are multiple options of food joints, cafes, grocery stores etc that old Manali offers. It was an advantage that they served food, one just needs to intimate them in advance. We booked the property almost four months in advance, just to ensure a room in the first floor, topmost floor through bookings. During this period, the manager was always available to answer any queries that we had , be it in terms of accommodation facilities, availability of in house food, accessibility by vehicle, current weather conditions etc. The property also had a couple of friendly dogs and they enjoyed the attention we paid them. Summary - Will like to stay again.

Unclean. Basic daal chawal order was not serviced in 1.5 hours, sole staff was uninterested in feeding guests. Checked ourselves out as nobody was available at the property. View is not bad but access to the property by car is a challenge owing to narrow adjoining road.

We (3 families including a 3 yrs. old baby) booked 3 rooms in this property "Firgun Stays by Honeybees" (previously known as Rishi House) directly through owner (Rupali) and stayed for 3 nights during Christmas (From 24th Dec 2022 to 27th Dec 2022). Our experience was poor at all regardless we paid almost 3 times more per room Rs. 2900 including breakfast because it was Christmas time. In normal time, you can book approx. Rs. 1000 per room. Owner does not reside at property, even not in Manali. She stays in Pune and operates from there itself. Two guys Mayank (manager) and Amit (cook) manage the property. I am giving the feedbacks as we experienced at property. PROS Good Location - Property is at good location in terms of peace, not in terms of road. View - Almost 360 surrounded views from property's terrace. Bonfire - They will provide bonfire. Cleanliness - Rooms are big and clean. CONS No extra blanket - They will provide you 1 single bed blanket and 1 double bed blanket regardless of temperature (it was -1c to -4c during our stay). If you ask for an extra blanket, they will not provide. I asked multiple times (till around 1 AM) with Mayank because we had 3 yrs. old baby, but he always said "deta hu deta hu" but never provided. Let say they had not extra blanket on 1st day, and they arrange extra blanket on 2nd day, still they will not give your blanket until you ask again. I explained issues to Rupali on 3rd day, she said, you did not ask for extra blanket yesterday, that's why we did not provide. Heater overpriced - Let say They had no extra blanket on 1st day. If you ask to provide heater, they charge Rs. 500 per night. No water in washrooms at property - They had no water (not even single mug water) in washrooms from 2nd day evening till 3rd day afternoon. Cleanliness - They did not clean room even single day out of all 3 days stay. but This is adjustable, not a big issue. Just adding all cons whatever we faced. Tasteless food - Food was tasteless (except parathas & coffee in breakfast). That's why we ordered dinner 1st day only and had to eat outside rest days. Single cook - There was only a single cook (Amit) in entire property who only cooks, serves the food and even looks into other issues at property such as no water, cleanliness etc. Manager (Mayank) was out of the property most of the time. How to reach - However there are 2-3 ways to reach to property, but all are lengthy (approx. 4-5 km extra) except Manali Mall Road one's. but always traffic jam is major issue with that way. so, every time we had to come/go through other ways only. Stay experience was just wonderful there. You will get a nice and close view of the mountains with snow on top. We booked the room directly through the owner (rupali). Special thanks to mayank and Amit who cooked wonderful meals for us. The overall stay experience was smooth. Will definitely choose this place for next holiday in manali

One of the best homestay to enjoy your workation/staycation. The view from the terrace a is amazing. The rooms are spacious newly constructed. Washrooms are clean.

Guys this is one of the best location to stay. You'll never regret your choice. It's specially made for youngsters, you can enjoy your fullest, they have everything near to their location and by that you know what you wanna know (herb ). So guys, do visit and experience your journey with their beautiful morning view of snowing mountain.
