FARAKKA MEMORIAL HALL / RECREATION CENTER - Movie theater in Farakka Barrage Twp - Murshidabad, India

Once it was cinema hall and cultural centre where live performance were being organized.in last 3 decades silver screen and projector have never been used, though some live performances are still held . Inside has been renovated but that job is not up to mark contemporary. A library is also attached with this building , with decades it's attraction and service has touched the nadir with the dust on books and selves.

A very significant landmark in farakka barrage. It is the "NANDAN" of our farakka with a capacity of about 300. It host a drama competition every year and has a well designed stage.It was on the few cinema hall in the area. It had got a library in its upstairs.It celebrates 23 rd January on the eve of the birthday of the most significant unsung hero, NETAJI, whose statue has been erected in front of this hall long years back. It host the biggest Durga Puja for long 5 days and is also remsrkable for celebrating other festivals. There is a cricket ground behind it which had become a regular audience for my cricketing shots.
