Fanar Residency - Hotel in Chennai - Chennai, India

The place is located near Chennai Central railway station so very convenient for travel. On a moderate distance from Sankara Nethralaya and Apollo so not too inconvenient for patients. The staff's behaviour is wonderful, we reached at 3am at night and the manager was personally standing at the entrance to welcome us. Complimentary breakfast is decent and a nice way to begin your day. There is free Wi-Fi service too. The room we stayed in did not have any windows, would have been nicer to have an outside view, I am not sure if other rooms have that. Overall, a lovely place to stay in terms of both service and budget. I will be visiting again!

Suddenly I plan to stay near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. I just walked along the road and saw that residency is really worth it. AC rooms are 1300 RS per night with morning complimentary breakfast. Complimentary breakfast was average. But they provide good service. The receptionist and room service boy both were really good.

For student admission process at VIT, Chennai, stayed at Fanar from 5th August,'23 till 11th August, '23. Complimentary breakfast was OK, room service was very prompt & Mr. Pradeep & Mr. Satish both at the reception with their 24 * 7 smiling faces were very helpful. Cleanliness & housekeeping were also very satisfactory. The only issue was network connectivity which has to be managed by hotel wifi. Overall I will not only recommend this hotel but I am going to revisit as well.

Highly recommended for the travellers as well as family, prime spot very near to the Chennai Central, everything is accessible from this hotel, mainly the friendly hotel staffs gives the best of service possible.

Hotel employees are very helpful specially the hotel manager and reception guy. I was not feeling well at the checkout day and on request they brought me medicine from medical store and given to me. Also helped me to get a cab to airport. Only issue is food is not available and all nearby hotel food is not good. You can go to good restaurants. Don't trust the local hotels for food (Non veg) had very bad experience especially the one next to Fanar hotel.

If you want to look for an accomodation near Chennai Central on a budget ,look no further. I booked a room at this hotel for my parents after doing a lot of research and was a lot sceptical on how the experience might turn out to be. But Trust me folks it was an Amazing experience for my parents, they were well recieved and also given all necessary support during the stay, the management with the Manager and the staff there were supportive and they also were ready to accompany my parents to the railway station with the luggage - what an amazing gesture, just loved it...Thanks a lot folks, you deserve the 5 star... The Hotel is beautifully placed near ( walking distance) to both Chennai Central Rly Station and Chennai Central Metro. Clean and hygienic. Persons at Reception are very supportive and a very good guide to all your possible queries. The only blemish is that, there is no food at the Hotel. But, you have so many restaurants and Food courts in the vicinity to choose for.

We (3) stayed here for a night. It was a sudden plan to Chennai and we didn't book anything early. All the hotels were full then. Fortunately, We found this one randomly. It was close to the railway station. A walk for 1km would take you there. It is exactly opposite to the railway station. *Okayish Family environment. The rooms near railway station are usually isn't that great. But, This place was good. *The rooms were clean, Well maintained and The hosts were humble. * COST : 1800 PER NIGHT FOR AC. FOR 3 PEOPLE IN A ROOM. *My overall experience: Don't have too much expectations. A simple and Comfortable place. Pocket friendly for a short stay.
