Family Tree Ghatkopar - Family restaurant in Mumbai - Mumbai Suburban, India

The place is on 2nd floor. Next to west side. On that floor they have 2 restaurants under same management & common entrance. Observation 1 : the restaurant is cramped up & every inch is used to place a chair / table. Observation 2 : on weekend, the staff is overworked so expect being not attended. Cutlery not shared on table , like even simple 1 glass per person was not kept. Even after requesting for same it took 15 minutes to get one. Observation 3 : food quality is good. Taste is upto the mark but May not be served hot or will have been compromised in terms of fillings inside. (Read specific food review) Observation 4 : place gets noisy as flocked by ghatkopar locals (including me) & if with kids it's no less than horror. If person passes by he is sure to bang ur table FOOD 1 - pita bread with hummus - hummus was almost not there. The next table ordered 2 of the same. 1 of which had extra hummus served on insistence. (How could I see that, man I could just stretch my hand and dig into eat too ) 2 - pizza tandoori vegetables- if it had veggies it would be good but without veggies it seemed like margarita 3 - khow suey soup. - my fav so I expect perfection. Good taste but tangy. Served cold. Without bowl later shared when requested. Server spilled it while serving not once but twice. The bill came after 15 minutes of request. The payment was taken after 15 minutes of bill being given. Avoid Sunday's strictly if you fancy going to this place.

Food was strickly okayish, tried Water chestnut honey chilli for the 1st time and turned out to be good, cheese cigar decent, cheese garlic bread was also good. Falafel pockets was also amazing. Chat platter which had Pani Puri shots, 2 pakoda, pav bhaji (which was served cold). What made our night was live music which they had to the adjacent bar we had our dinner and enjoyed the live music ( @Yashjainlive)

Family Tree is an iconic chain of restaurants spread across all over Mumbai. Been to their Thane outlet and that was decent. This is too didn't disappoint. Ordered smoked Paneer Tikka, Hakka Noodles and Veg Fried rice. Noodles were puffed up and were disappointing. Fried rice was decent. And the best dish turned out to be the smoked Paneer Tikka. It had the charred smoky flavour and was flavourful. Average dining experience, nothing spectacular.

Superb restaurant in ghatkopar for family dinner and casual dinning as well. Orders some Punjab food like veg kolhapuri, kaju mashroom masala and starters like paneer lasuni and crispy corn were really great in taste and quality.

Visited this place with some friends. This place has an amazing ambiance. We had some amazing mocktails from here. All the mocktails here are very beautiful in presentation and tastewise is also very good. We had the burnt garlic soup which was really a good soup to start our meal with. We then had some starters like veg sholay kebab, veg tortilla cigars, chole bhatura bombs. For mains we had the veg bhuna and veg dobara which went very well with naan. We also had the veg triple scgezwan fried rice. For desserts we had the ramesh and suresh and chocolate mousse. Both the desserts were really amazing. In all it was a nice experience.

Ambience is good. Good place for family dinners. The waiter who was serving us was hell bent on serving food of his choice and not ours. We had to insist on the dishes that we wanted to eat. Regular water is not served here only bottled water is served and for that they changed Rs100/- which was shocking. It being an veg restaurant and me being a non vegetarian I found the food to be average. Only found one of the starters to be good.

Talking about Family Tree, I have visited it two times ( Ghatkopar Outlet ) and they don't disappoint you. With a good service, perfect & beautiful ambience and delicious food Family Tree is one of the budget friendly decent restaurant/cafe. The last time I visited, I ordered 3 starters: 1) Kungpao Potato 2) Paneer Dragon 3) Mushroom Starter All three of them were hands down amazing with a good quantity of serving 3 people. For the main course we ordered Steamed Rice & Green Thai which tasted amazing with the option of the Chinese sizzler. In mocktails we had ordered Mango Mocktail & Blue Lagoon which one of them tasted more like rasna & the other like Sprite. Out of the 2 times for once the latest one I went to celebrate my friends birthday and the restaurant does allow you to decorate it your way if you want but make sure you pre-book the table along with the count of people. The service is really good. Overall one of the best and decent restaurants I have visited & surely would want to visit other outlets as well.
