Its a very good place in kohima. But close at 6:00 pm. Kohima is a very good place and capital of Nagaland. It has scenic beauty of hill and villages. Mostly I have like it because of less crowd. Local people are very helpful. They has been guided us where to go and how to go. Due to no rush you can get so many good and affordable hotel with a good view. If you think off the beat it will be a very good place for you. Calm quite and beautiful, greenarys are awesome. Site seeing are also there , you may visit local sight by hiring a car locally it is also a very affordable price than other tourist spot.

A walk through the market will give you a good idea about the food habits of Nagas. The market was teeming with mulberry silk worms (supposed to be delicious, costs only Rs 2500 per kg!!!)Birds, Rats, frogs, dried fish, snails, wild mushrooms, honey combs, and much more!! its an experience by itself to just watch people bargaining and buying these stuff.

This place is use to be a important market place in olden day hence the name of the locality is still being use as new market today it doesn't have important market or shopping arcades, it is situated below the famous second world word cemetery

I went to the spot which the Google maps points at, but I couldn't find any market. You should go to local ground, if you're interested in local life
