The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it is very close to Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple). You can walk to back door of gurudwara sahib. Must stay for elderly and those who don't want to get stuck in bad Amritsar traffic. The rooms are Ok. These are not very luxurious but good for anyone who has lived in a middle class house. You get breakfast as part of package and if you want they provide lunch /dinner options. But who wants it when you got Gurus langar just right across the corner. Overall must stay if you are lucky enough to get a booking as it is always full.
It use to be a decent hotel but in this visit, I saw rooms with cockroaches, even after changing the room, the problem of cockroach remains the same. The breakfast food quality has gone down too. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Rather stay at CSJS Inn instead of staying here the rain was coming inside. Room and bathroom stinks, it use to be a lot better but now no they need a total renovation
Overview: Good big neat and clean place very close to the Golden Temple. Its a stone's throw away from Golden Temple. Hygiene: Basic cleanliness is maintained. Don't expect Hilton standards but basic hot water and clean bedding is consistent. Ambience: Very basic ambience .... Nothing special Music: Good pleasing regional music Staff: Decent & efficient staff .... Very quick service Parking: No dedicated parking and cars or cabs are not even allowed in this area. You have to depend on the battery rickshaws for moving around here. Food Taste: Basic food and decent options. But its so close to Golden temple that you can go there for Langar. I will definitely recommend the place since it is so close to the Golden temple.
best location just few steps from shri Akal takhat sahib, little bit parking issue but they manage well, awesome view from top floor of Shri Darbaar sahib
Let's start with the positive the hotel is actually next to the Golden temple. But the rooms are a big disappointment. Rooms are very small and property is old. The view is also not there. Service needs improvement (rooms were not ready @ 2:30 PM). Though informed in the morning that we will reach by 1:30 PM. Breakfast food is ok.
I travel with my parents and wife we booked 2 room combo and they upgraded our one room so that we can have a room opposite to each other. Person at reception was amazing, he arranged a cake as well at reasonable price. it was just opposite to Swarn temple which makes the stay memorable.
