Two days back, I went to an Aadhaar update center. The center charged me Rs.100 for a biometric update. However, the official website of the Aadhaar states that the fee for a biometric update is Rs.50. I believe that this center is charging double the amount that they should be charging. This is unfair to the common man, who may not be aware of the correct fee. The center is also in violation of the law, which only allows one Akshaya per person. This center is operating two centers, one in Ezhamkulam and one in Parakode. People are not speaking out against this because the owner of the center is a member of CPM. I urge the authorities to take action against this center and ensure that they are no longer able to overcharge people for Aadhaar update services. I also urge the public to be aware of the correct fees for Aadhaar update services and to report any instances of overcharging to the authorities.
Went for updating aadhar today and the service was excellent unlike other Akshaya centers that I have visited before. She was so polite and helpful. I would really recommend this centre especially for elderly because of their polite and friendly service.
