Its a good place to experience the village lifestyle. Do not expect luxury or services such as hot water or room cleaning. Its a place surrounded by paddy fields and very close to the beach. The staff were friendly and polite. Vibe was great. Food in the restaurant was good.

This is such a fine place when you are in gokarna.. all the outdoors is magical. They have the swing, cafe, benches amidst the nature and it truly makes you feel so good. The staff is friendly, good food, good spaces and fresh air... But wait once you enter the room, the indoors. They have so much work to do! I adore they go with sustainable living but it does not mean to give a zero bulb everywhere. We have to switch on like all the lights to see in room. The basics of any room when you go outside is having a good washroom. They need to work on this. There is this gap in between terracotta tiles of roof and wall and insects do get it now if we are living in village they do have this gap closed to maintain any creatures from coming inside. Sustainability means involving natural energy now they can put on solars to extract sun and give light on the room. Something for hot water. Washroom should feel like going for bath. And paints, you need to paint the light colour inside so that light can be reflected. All this feedback only to make your journey good ahead. Loved the outside time though!

Worst place I have ever stayed at. Too much price for what they are offering . The replies they give on negative reviews are pure lame excuses. Very nice strategy of offering poor, pathetic stay and labeling it as sustainable n supportijg local communities. TRUST ME! I thoroughly check reviews and photos before booking this place. On arrival it's was nothing like advertised. I have stayed in a lot of sustainable, farm stay /properties. This is just like a cattle shed , poorly constructed, NO PARKING on the property, have to pay n park 100 mtrs further. We had to wait for them to clean the room before we checked in, room wasn't ready, used soaps were lying around in the bathroom. Night was the worst , hell lot of mosquitos. The positive reviews aren't genuine. Never stay here , there are a lot of better hostels. It's pure loot. I just vacated and left early in the morning, as I couldn't stay there anymore.

DONT GO IS SCAM!!! If you are reedding this run. All the photos and the service they provide are all like there it was a hotel. The place is full with excuses , you ask for the kitchen they said that is under construccion. You read the reviews and is same excuses 4 months ago. They charge really expensive. We found another hotel on the beach with an amazing cafe for 500 rupies less. The bathroom was a Mess. At night your room Will be full of mosquitos , ants , spiders and other stuff. We dident have food inside !!! All the building is open betwen the wall and the roof so easy entry for all the bugs. Not even a repelent for the night was provide. Really if the hotel put some mosquito nets to the bed Will change consider. But the prices are insane. The conmon areas was a Joke all dirty. We travel 3 months in india asnd worts hotel If they charge half of the prices i could consider for be very cheap.

One of the best hostels in Gokarna! The ambience is extremely peaceful and close to nature as this is a community farm. Lush greenery all around and farm animals can be found roaming. Around 300 meters from Gokarna main beach, easily accessible. The food is tasty and home made. Best place for solo travellers! The host; Chetan is very friendly and approachable. Don't expect any kind of luxury here, enjoy the simple yet secluded stay and make new friends along! Once you stay here, it's difficult to leave the place. P.S: Don't forget mosquito repellents as it is extremely necessary!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the backpackers community farm in Gokarna, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff who made me feel right at home. The place itself was clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities one could ask for in a backpackers hostel. The dorm room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds and plenty of storage space for my belongings. The communal areas were also great, with a lovely outdoor space you can be chilled out with, where I could relax. But what really made my stay so special was the sense of community and camaraderie that permeated throughout the farm. I met so many interesting and friendly people from all over the world, and we shared great conversations and experiences together. All in all, I would highly recommend the backpackers community stay in Gokarna to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable backpacking experience. Thank you to the management and staff for making my stay so memorable! Really missing them..

Don't fall for positive reviews...I had stayed one day here in 4 bed dormitory, charged me 900rs. And No AC in room bed is full of bed bugs u can't sleep peacefully whole night....u have to pay extra amount for Hot water nothing special here ..and in some cots aren't even fixed with fans ....next day I paid same amount at another hostel (name: HostelLife gokarna) which better comparatively has AC hot, good see view wonderful ground.....

Ambience, food, people and location everything is top notch, Gokarna main beach is just 5 mins away from the hostel. The property is very well maintained, hostel staff are very responsive, it's a quiet and cozy place.
