Wow, just wow! I was in awe while coming to this museum of treasures, I was wide-eyed with wonder like a child. In the museum there are artifacts painstakingly collected over the years to showcase the heritage of Meghalaya and the life of people. Loved seeing glimpses of homes of Meghalaya too, with neat depictions of exteriors and interiors. I was dazzled by the beautiful and colourful stones, gems and fossils - very rich natural heritage. And the beautiful variety of orchids and the insects around them were a wholesome experience. Abstractness and symbolism are presented too, with interesting scultpures. I could easily spend hours here. Totally recommend this place if you are interested in learning about cultural and natural heritage and you enjoy museums in general.

One of the best private museums. It highlights the evolution of Meghalaya and North East not only culturally but also geologically and from geographical point of view. We were personally guide by the Owner of the museum Mr Kyntiewbor War, who is passionate about preserving and spreading knowledge about the tribal cultural heritage of the Garo Khasis and Jaintia tribes of Meghalaya. He patiently explained to us many things among the many things, like how root bridges were designed and formed. He has also botanical garden set up with rare flowers and plants. If you are interested in history geography or botany. This is a must visit place..

I was among the first batch of interns there. It's an awesome place, the surrounding environment is so peaceful and calm. The stone museum there has a very rich collection of stones, fossils and many more things. The owner of the museum is a very humble, down to earth kind of person with an insane amount of knowledge about any and everything. Uncle's whole team is very kind and welcoming. May this museum grow even more, it deserves to be more popular.

I was amazed by the collection and dedication Mr. War, a retired engineer cum travel and explore enthusiast. This is a private museum owned and maintained beautifully by himself. The collections are mainly his personal collections since his teenage. There was a wide variety of natural stones and he is keen to explain about all of them to any visitor. This is located in the outskirts of Shillong, almost 10 kms away from the city.

Not many people know of this place, but if in Shillong it's a must visit place. A single man's collection. Has very diverse range - exotic flowers and plants, tribal statues and huts, driftwood, rocks, coins, gems, wooden sculptures etc etc etc. Amazing stuff.
