We loved this homestay, comfortable place, great balcony area. Cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved though. The family is really adorable and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Breakfast was scrumptious! Highly recommended!! Oh and don't miss the sunrise canoe trip it's a must do!!
Wonderful homestay with such a lovely and welcoming family! The homely local food was delicious and varied. The rooms are clean, and they are in the upper floor with a dining room and a terrace, which gives a lot of privacy. Location is perfect. The family was available for all questions and arrangements with such kindness. We had a great time staying here and definitely recommend it!!
Great place to stay... Highly recommended for family/couple. The host and the family were very kind. Breakfast prepared by aunty was so delicious. The house is very near to the boat point. The host also booked us a private boat at a very reasonable price.
I stayed with my family for 2 days and 1 night. The hospitality of the owner and his family was excellent. And the food was so good enough. The food was served as a feast with super duper fish based dishes. If you are looking for pure homely mother's food then this is the place one need to be. And the interaction with us as guests was so good and beyond our expectation. Appreciate your hospitality and humbleness. Cheers for the future.
I had a great time with the family who is so welcoming and caring. First of all the homestay is very well located by the river, out of the touristic area (not even 5mn by tuktuk from the trainstation). The daughter is so helpful - and smily !- about turistic topics or transports and she has been sooo patient with my questions :-). Rooms are big and cleaned. upstairs with a big terrasse, view on the tropical forest, flowers, and a lovely private patio for the guest. The mother is so caring and a great cooker (all fresh food). Just a perfect place to relax with a lovely local family. I hope i can come back. Dont miss the canoe trip at 5.30am !
Accommodation was good, good hospitality and food was decent. They provided bottled water for drinking, but would like to say that they should have a sand/basic filter for the well water. It seems they have some profit somewhere for the early morning boat provided by a third party, instead they could have negotiated a cheaper arrangement for the customer. Other than that, this stay in Munroe is worth it.
An amazing place surrounded by trees and backwater lake. The hosts were very kind and mom's food were an add on to this stay!! I even took a souvenir (a shrub for terrarium) from this place. Worth every penny!!
Highly recommended! Pure Homestay! Fully satisfied with their service. That aunty's hospitality made me feel like I have visited some relative's home.. so kind and pleasant. Food was really super good in a mother's cooking standard.. They were kind and helpful in all regards. The room, cost of food was not bad comparing to other places.. They booked a boat with a responsible person for us to ride and remembered to wake us up on time for boating early morning. That uncle was so friendly, Their daughter guided on travel and other things. I don't find any reason not to chose them again... Best of it's kind. I'll visit again aunty!!

Kayaking in munroe is a satisfying experience. Its a good place to learn kayaking. There is shallow as well as deep waters. Kayaking through the mangrove with cool breeze hitting us is clearly a rejuvenating adventure.

Very nice place to spend the evening. Munroe island has nice mangrove forest and the best way to explore is taking a row boat. Don't miss getting into shallow water in the middle of lake!! Courteous boatmen- just need to pay approved rates..
