Estuary Sarovar Portico, Poovar Island - Resort hotel in Poovar, Kulathoor - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Beautiful place. The housekeeping staff needs to be mentioned especially. They are a great asset. Only one dining option.Breakfast had a large selection of foods ,but were not tasty or even average. Items on the menu were extremely overpriced. It would have been ok ,if it was delicious. Otherwise the stay was good.

The resort has a good ambience overall, nice location and well maintained premises. Staff and service is slow, you need to call them multiple times to get anything. The biggest problem I faced was cabs, there is a local cab issue, they don't allow outside cabs to come for pickup. The resort also doesn't own any cars so they connect you with local services who charge way too high and drive unprofessionally.

Pros - The property is good and well maintained. Close to beach and resort provides boats for beach trips. Cons- The service was too slow. Especially during checkout. Took us 45 mins to check out There is an issue of cabs and local drivers are very unprofessional. They do not let other cabs to come and pickup. The resort should have their own transportation service with professional drivers.

Everything is nice in this hotel including staff and location and especially restaurant staff. Just one bad experience as one of my friend had to pay for additional channel for one day. They requested this channel for their kid and it was added in room check out bill. Considering customer service as first parameter they should not charge for such small services. Also this is beach resort but you need their boat services to reach beach and which is mostly complementary.

Excellent location for a day out with friends and family. Customer service Taste of food The land is kept up nicely. Sufficient space for outdoor activities. The road that connects the property to the main road has a narrow width

Worst experience from start till the end. Had to wait for nearly 1 hr for check in process. There was no lift service. Old people had to climb 3 flights of stairs to reach their rooms. Tv and calling bell was not working in the room. There was power cut at night and generator backup was not working properly to the floor I was staying. Had to stay in dark for nearly 1 hour. Receptionists were not acknowledging the issues raised. The team is not equipped to manage the peak season rush in the hotel. Definitely won't recommend anyone to stay here during peak season

Excellent area to rest and unwind. I loved the close proximity to the beach. Service was really nice, one of the kitchen staff members was so courteous to provide a cradle for the baby during our meal. Rooms are pleasantly quiet and have a ton of cross ventilation. Location is remote, so getting an Uber in or out is difficult. Overall, highly recommended and I'll definitely be revisiting next time I come to Poovar.
