hand wash place is not clean. In particular mopping materials n leftover things r placed near dinning table Pungent smell is surrounding the place. Wall mount fans are not tidy. Can improve the ambience and cleanliness. Taste is good. Shenbagavalli is doing great.

Food: Kozhi rasam - Pretty watery but rich in fragrance, and flavours; mild-spiced, and the after-effect from a gulp hit slow and steady, TOO GOOD Japan chicken - Renowned dish which is similar to Mac and cheese but instead it was chicken and cheese; ain't spicy at all and it was sweet from the watery gravy, very tender BL meat, a bit Tangy but still enjoyable EAM Veg Meals with Annur Mutton Kuzhambu - A full meal with poriyal, kootu on a banana leaf, now that is a platter!! Hands down, their paruppu podi is the BEST EVER; with the ghee and their potato poriyal, this was HEAVENLY!! Their mutton gravy was exquisite!! That delicious Kongu taste in every scoop, moderate spice level, Very tender meat, yeh dil maange more!! To sum up with were their Curd, buttermilk, and gulkand, A PROPER MEAL!! Chicken biryani - The seeraga samba rice was scraped from the vessel so was a bit burnt; the meat pieces were well cooked, succulent and with the Japan chicken gravy, this was a different combination Mutton kothu parotta - WHAT-A-WOW!! So damn tender mutton chopped to bite-sized pieces and minced very well with the soft parotta!! Spicy pepper with kongu masala and the chill flavour from the gravy, OH WOW, Amazing aroma, this was pretty spicy and AWEsome!! Masala kalakki and Chinna vengaya omelet - Their shallots omelet tasted good while the kalakki tasted normal to me with the basic ingredients in any kalakki, GOOD!! Ambiance/Price: One of the biggest cons of this place is their parking space and the waiting time for the tables. I had to squeeze my bike in somewhere possible; waited for around half an hour during peak hours even on a weekday and got my seats on a shared table. But, there was not much of a waiting time for the dishes. It was quick and courteous; not much of an ambiance too, very much like any South Indian hotel. The prices too were very well within our nominal budget so a good place to try out their signature dishes. *Personal rating would be a 4.5

Food is good. Go really early so you can beat the crowd. Went w friends who are hardcore NV's. Their Chicken, Mutton and Shrimp dishes are good. Meen Kuzhambhu needs a lot of improvement. The Kozhi Rasam was amazing! The Japanese style Chicken was interesting. It tasted more like an Italian dish. It was good. I think they just have to rename it. Biryani was good but could've had more pieces. Surprisingly, they didn't have any Fish fry on a weekend, that too for lunch and we weren't even very early for lunch. Overall, food was good. We all ate well. Service can be spotty. The staff aren't too attentive. It's a crowded, small, place. But happy to see a good traditional NV joint in Adyar. A must-try place. Parking can be problem if you don't know where to park. Looks like they've space Opp to the restaurant in the other side of the road. They accept all forms of payment.

Fantastic food, very fresh and great service. We had the veg meals, chicken biriyani and annur kozhi kuzhambu and ofcourse the Japan chicken The space is pretty small though with limited seating

Ambience was little ok. Always crowded even during week days . Went there after watching Vignesh Sivan's interview. Japan chicken is more of a starter kinda thing . It doesn't go well with any other thing because of it's Sweetness. Parotta was also good. Dynamite panner was too spicy but so soft & most importantly one of the most tasteful Seeraga Sambha Biriyani. Go for biriyani only in the afternoon. Will try other dishes when we go next time . Had to wait atleast 10mins to get a table . Price is definitely on the higher end . But the main advantage is even though it will take time for u to get a table , u will receive the foods within 10mins as soon as u order. I think most of the foods are prepared well In advance. Can give above 3.75 -4.0 .

Our visit centered on tasting Japan chicken, and we ventured further with orders like Kozhi Rasam, Vanjaram Fry, Chicken Dosai, Bun Parotta, and the unexpected star, Nallampatti Chicken rice - truly delicious. With bustling crowds even on weekdays, the place is evidently popular. Weekends, however, demand patience as waiting times grow. Parking space is a challenge, forcing most to leave their cars on the nearby streets. While Vanjaram Fry and Dosai gravy fell short of expectations, the overall dining experience was enjoyable, showcasing a unique blend of flavors.

Taste of d food is very good at affordable price when compared to other restaurants. Biryani was OK. Tasted like chicken in ghee rice.. all side dishes were good . Kozhi Rasam.. Japan chicken were nice

Braved the crowd and the waiting to try out Erode Amman Mess this weekend. We tried the Veg meals, the Erode Amman Special Chicken and the Mutton kozhambu with cup rice. While the service was choppy probably because of the crowd the food was not disappointing! We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The very best part of the meal - the podi and the ghee on hot rice!! Will we be back? Most definitely!!
