Busiest railway station of Kerala, I'd say. As it is a junction, most of the train stops here and departs from here. As it is located in the southern part of hence the use of name. Definitely needs infrastructure upgrade. Cleaning and maintenance wise, they try to keep clean.

Nice platform ,newe by metro station is there and bus stand also there over all nice

Good railway station with almost clean but not the best overall good with their services but from parcel service area i got a very bad experience from them. Other than that usual railway stations in kerala. And also they are under the development stage now also. Better add more availability of escalators in all platforms.

Major hub for spices in Kerala and most busiest railway station in kerla is known as kochin/ Ernakulam [since both are sister railway station like Delhi/New Delhi]. Very beautiful station and also neat and clean. Wheelchair accessible entrance, parking are also available. washroom are neat and clean. A restaurant are also running side by side of platform. One of the major tourist place and this is also called gateway of Kerala in tourist circle.

Important junction in Southern Railway, but doesn't have proper shelters all over. Platforms arrival is not updated properly in the LED Boards. This station requires a major revamp, food court is yet to be opened. There are very less snack shops as well. And couldn't find any Chaiwalas but only Coffeewalas

Ernakulam Junction railway station (also known as Ernakulam South, code: ERS) is the biggest railway station in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. Controlling 376 train routes at a time, it is the busiest railway junction station in South India.At Rs158 crore (equivalent to Rs196 crore or US$24 million in 2023) in financial year 2018-19, it is the second largest in terms of passenger revenues in Kerala and the fifth largest in Southern Railway.It is an A1 classified station operated by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways and comes under the Thiruvananthapuram railway division. Ernakulam Junction is also the first fully disabled-friendly railway station in India.

One of the most crowded railway stations in Kerala. As the term Junction states, we can access multi directional trains. I think it covers both the north and south parts of kerala, as well as trains to multiple states accessible from here. Well maintained platforms, except the charging points, they are in their worst condition. The enquiry section is up to mark and taxis are available outside. The metro station and bus stand are at a walkable distance. South railway station is one of the railway stations with escalator availability. Unreserved/Local/Memu are available. Platform 1 (to the north) : Thrissur, palakkad, chennai, delhi etc. Platform 2 (to the south) : Trivandrum, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam Platform 3 (mostly other states) : Chennai, Patna Platform 4/5 : Local trains (Up to my knowledge)

Ernakulam South Railway Station or Ernakulam junction Railway Station is a busy Railway station . Since it is located at the south end of the city it is known as South Railway station .One of the busiest stations in Ernakulam district.There are six platforms in this Railway Station. This is the second largest railway station in Kerala in terms of passenger revenue and we can see that by seeing the crowd in this station. This was the first fully differently abled friendly railway station in India. There are ticket counters on both the sixth and first platforms of this station. Various stores are opened within the railway station for food and other needs which are provided at a reasonable price. Overbridges are there connecting the six platforms. Can access this Railways Station by bus and Metro. There are amenities and pre-paid auto taxi counters at both 1st and 6th platform exits. People who wish to go to kadavantara, vytila, kakkanad, Edapally can use the exit at the 6th platform and people who wish to go to Thevara, Highcourt, Fort kochi can use the exit at the 1st platform. The parking area is large .Wheelchair accessible entrance .There is only one escalator for the whole railway Station, and this is usually crowded, The authorities must take necessary action to solve this problem. Neglecting the small drawbacks this is a good railway station
