Eraniel Palace Ruins, Headquarters of Venad Kingdom - Historical landmark in Eraniel - Kanniyakumari, India

The palace is located in Eranial area, the side walls and and full of this palace are very broken. Despite informing the government several times in this regard, no action has been taken yet this palace is in a state of disrepair. Due to this, the palace remains so insecure that the public or others cannot enter

This place has fallen irredeemably, and may not be around much longer. I suggest you visit before it entirely ceases to exist.

Looks like some renovation is going on three. But will they bring back the artifacts that were vandalised long ago?

Its a palace in Ruins... The govt is supposed to take care.... There are some work going on..... Not worth visiting now

Historical place,but hidden from public and not maintained by government

Indian Government & Tamil Nadu government has failed in it's duty to conserve,preserve & maintain this place.It can be changed to a good tourist destination if Preserved.But a total disappoinment with visiting this place.

Nothing preserved, nothing to see there!

Best example of how a national monument can be left in ruins.. Very bad attitude from the authorities..palace is completely in ruins due to the utter negligence.. Now nothing is left there.. i think trespassing is now prohibited...
