Enchanted Forest Farm - Bed & breakfast in Gangtok - East District, India

I've stayed at Enchanted Forest Farms on multiple occassions and each time, the experience has been better than the last. If you are looking for an authentic farmstay, this is the place. Courteous staff, scrumptious home-cooked meals, comfy cottages with a view to die for. What else can you ask for? The farmstay is far away from the city's hustle and bustle, so perfect for a serene getaway. Take a walk around the expansive property, play with the adorable doggies, share stories around a bonfire, or just sit on the bench and take in the breathtaking view of the exquisite hillscape. Oh, and did I tell you there's a waterfall? Yep.Tucked away in the midst of forest, is a waterfall gushing with pristine, cystal-clear water. And lastly, how can I forget the warm and welcoming hosts Deep and Priya. They care about their guests and it shows in the time and effort they put to run this place. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the property recently and I must admit I really loved the ambience. The location is to die for, the staff well mannered and helpful and the home cooked food that was served to us was really delicious. If you are a pet lover, they have many super friendly dogs who will give you good company. They view from the balcony was surreal and so was the hike to the waterfall. I am surely coming back soon.

A must stay gem away from the hustle & bustle of Gangtok Enchanted Forest Farm - Deep and his team runs a lovely farm stay near Gangtok in a village called as Perbing in Ranka. It was like a dream vacation at their stay. Special features of the stay: 1. Beautifully made cottages 2. Gorgeous views of the mountains from the bedroom window 3. Views of the Gangtok night lights at night 4. Chirping of birds in the mornings 5. Being inaccessible to direct motorable road makes the stay very peaceful and a perfect location. 6. Scrumptious home made local food by Kumari didi (cook) who lives in nearby in the same village. 7. The marvellous waterfall at the end of the farm property takes your breath away. We had a heavenly time taking a dip inside the waterfall (most beautiful feature of the property). 8. If you are at the property and have time, Kumari di can take you for a village walk too. 9. You could also request for a bon fire during the evening / night if its not raining. 10. You could also try a local drink called as Tongba or fermented ragi millet drink which is served in a bamboo container. You need to inform them in advance if you wish to try. 11. The 9 dogs will keep u engaged if u r a dog lover. All in all, a very unique, magical & a memorable stay which cannot be missed if you are in Gangtok. Must stay at least for 2 nights.

One of the best places to stay in India because of the warmth of Priya and Deep. It starts with and ends with great customer service. Karen and I have been here for the third time and the tranquility and peace that is much needed compared to hustle and bustle of Gangtok. For first timers here, I would make sure you are happy with climbing down concrete steps to the valley and also have the fitness level to climb up. We are from Oxford in the UK and are used to great customer service so to get the same here is amazing

The place justifies the name very well. Stumbled upon this beautiful farm stay in the far away land of sikkim and found the pefect solitude after a tough week at work. The waterfall being the most memorable of all experiences, the 9 cute doggos, aunty's lip smacking breakfast, the at your call service by pritam, is there anything one wants after the hustles of the city. The full moon night did add magic to the stay and I am enchanted as you can see.

Dear Deep, I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience we had during our visit to your farm. After reading a negative review posted by one of our group members, Anirudha Ray, I was surprised by your response. I feel compelled to address the concerns raised in a professional and concise manner. Firstly, it is unacceptable to consider providing free food as compensation for the unsatisfactory food and services we encountered during our trip. Our request for Maggie noodles was not asking for a la carte service, but rather a simple and reasonable expectation. And, please stop advertising "fresh home-made food" as it was not cooked properly. Secondly, regarding the management of the canines on your premises, we found your staff to be unsupportive. While we understand that dogs can display territorial behavior, your dogs were not properly managed, barking incessantly both day and night, causing distress to our own pets. It was necessary for us to take matters into our own hands and repeatedly contact you and your staff for assistance. Furthermore, we kindly request that you ensure your staff does not resort to mistreatment or physical force when handling the animals. We have experience managing multiple pet dogs at our own home and believe that a more professional approach is needed. Additionally, during our departure, we encountered the porter who exhibited disrespectful behavior. He insisted on us checking out earlier than the designated time, displaying impatience and even raising his voice when we expressed our concerns about taking a longer path due to the hilly terrain and our dog's capabilities. I have video and photo evidence of this incident, which I can post if necessary. Lastly, I find it unprofessional that our behavior was discussed with other guests. None of them could understand our conversations, making any allegations of us mocking your staff baseless. In comparison to our previous experiences staying at other forest homes, our time at Enchanted Forest Farm fell far short of our expectations. We kindly request that you prioritize improving the quality of your food and services instead of offering free meals to compensate for deficiencies.

I must start off by sharing my gratitude & admiration for the entire team at Enchanted. They are a small team but boy do they pack a punch, they are super motivated to provide the highest quality of hospitality for their guests. Pritam & Prayas are two rock stars who can give many high end hotel managers a run for their money, Didi & her staff prepare the most delicious home cooked meals with locally sourced produce, Deep & Priya spend lots of quality time with their guests to ensure they feel welcomed & comfortable. Coming to the property itself, what can I say, just have a look at the pictures :) We stayed for two nights, one each in the two duplex cottages. The cottages are MORE THAN enough to enjoy a comfortable quiet stay in the hills. Sunrise is early and so is the sunset, through the day you hear the many wonderful sounds of nature (waterfall, bird calls) and as dusk falls you have the most amazing views of Gangtok city all to yourself. We were lucky to have the company of some fellow guests along with Deep over a bonfire where we had some of the most interesting & fun conversations of our Sikkim trip. Special mention for the waterfall nearby, totally worth the trek downhill and is one of the highlights of the homestay. Solitude, relaxation, stimulating conversations are some of the many things you can expect at Enchanted, IMO a must-do experience if you're in Gangtok. PSA: This is not a luxury hotel, it's a homestay managed by a group of amazing people. You must align your expectations accordingly. The dogs at the property are the sweetest lot! <3

This place is a little world in itself. I was very impressed by the coziness of the rooms and the warmth of the staff. Go there to take a break from your busy lives and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings. A beautiful way to be part of nature. Rooms are beautiful and apt for a place with such tranquillity. The wooden touch given to them brings a classy look and adds charm to the entire property.
