Our first-ever expedition to the enchanting Meghalaya was made all the more special by Ratan and his incredible team. As a large family group of 21 members, ranging from sprightly 8-year-olds to our wise 75-year-olds, our needs were as diverse as our ages. Striking a balance that catered to everyone, which has been quite a challenge in our previous travels, was made surprisingly smooth this time. Every little detail was considered - from comfortable rooms that felt like a home away from home, to satisfying our specific dietary requirements, even in a place as remote as Meghalaya. Ratan's promise of arranging chapatis, and his perfect delivery on it, left us deeply impressed. We were fortunate to have Mr. Steven as our driver. His patience, cooperation, and gentleness were the highlights of our journey. The way he took the time to bid each one of us goodbye on our last day added a very personal and touching element to our travel tale. A special nod to Mr. Bor, who was a reliable and constant presence throughout our trip, always available at the other end of the phone to address our queries. Their warmth and personal attention made us feel cherished and cared for. We took our class 12 students to Encamp Adventures for a day. It was a part of our 3 day tour to Guwahati from Sivasagar, Assam. Our students spent the day in the lap of nature near a lake surrounded by green trees and lush mountains singing and dancing to their favourite songs. We went for the sunset trek to the view point where the view of tge Guwahati city and the setting sun mesmerized us. All the activities were well organised and all our students including girls and boys felt absolutely safe and well taken care of.
Well it was a great experience treking to garbhanga forest reserve and also to be a part of the Himalayan cleanup drive with the encamp adventures. Got to learn so many things about waste n all. The encamp members are so much supportive n they interact with everyone so nicely. They also organise weekend hikes/treks to make your boring Sunday into a productive one. So those who are interested in adventures n hiking/trekking should come and experience the joy with the encamp adventures.
I had a wonderful experience camping, hiking and exploring the beautiful nature with encamp adventures. It was a school trip to Mawsynram where we all got to learn so much from the team. All the hours of walking was definitely worth the experience. Many of us who never tried swimming in our lives went river trekking which was the best part of this trip.
