Empire guesthouse ponda - Hotel in Ponda - South Goa, India

Empire guest house is located near new Bus stand in Ponda, near Safa Masjid. Guest house is having 5 bed dormitory and rooms. I stayed in dormitory and was a good experience. Caretaker Sagar helps us a lot. Cleaning and service provided is good. Dorm is maintained and has 2 washrooms. Proper ventilation is there. Free wifi is available. Overall a very good experience in tight budget. Only problems I faced is network issue, airtel has low network range inside dorm. They should have provided bigger locker to ensure safety of luggage. Lockers available are smaller.

When I reached the Guest house, some maintenance work was going in the domitory room. So they provided me other room with 2 occupancy which is to be shared by other person. This is good part of them. So, I will be writing review accordingly and uploading piks of the same. The room was neat and clean, well maintained and the bathrooms too were neat and there is a provison of gyser too. They had also placed water filter machine for drinking just outside the room. Everyhting was fine. I am giving 4 star rating because instead of celing fan , they have provided Table/stand Fan. In non-AC rooms, celing fans are much effective. Location : It's great if someone has work/interview in Ponda/Farmagudi because it's just nearby (100 metres from) New Kadamba Bus stop. BUT, if you are here for touring purpose, then it's much far away from beaches. (20 km from Madgaon, 40 Km from Airport)

Very far away from beaches more than 50 kms away from one of the famous beaches. Didn't felt like i was in goa so i stayed for just one night. The area is pretty good almost 2 kms away from the main Ponda market. Its 35 kms away from Goa airport so it takes time to reach the hostel. I went by the bus and it took me more than 2 hrs to reach there. The taxi charges hafty amounts of money here. so its better to travel by bus. But if you are rich then its more than amazing for you. And the Hostel was pretty descent. Clean and nice best for male travellers. There are also mosque's nearby if you are a muslim then its best place for you although its far away from what you call the real goa i.e beaches and all that. OVERALL its fine.

Only hall is left with a rent of 300 per head per day. All the single rooms are pre - booked. If you want to Book a single room please contact them through there contact number. Otherwise you'll not have any option to stay other then common hall they provide. Also they didn't provide any type of bedsheet or matters due to corona pandemic so bring your own bedsheet or blanket. bathroom is good but little congested with western style commode and there is no jet spray and toilet paper in the cammode.

Location wise it was good and near to the IIT goa. The staff was very helpful. Rooms were fine to stay. Services were all good. Food was not available there. Also, there was no security personnel available. Overall 4/5 for the stay.

I had some problems in searching the location of the Empire Guest House as there was no signboard of the hotel on main road and key locations which I have conveyed to the hotel reception also. One photo of the guest house is attached. Rest the stay was nice and wonderful... Thx GOibibo....

It's very conveniently located nearby to the KTC bus stand so it's very accessible. Talking about the property then it was fine, the accommodation I stayed in & even their services & even their rooms, everything was decent & I had pleasant time staying here.

The property is lovely & is very conveniently located as bus stand is just behind it & even the hotel's rooms were great & specially their staff who were very friendly. My overall experience of staying here was satisfactory.
