Elite Forest Retreat Hotel & Resort - Resort hotel in Karjat - Raigad, India

1. Do not book any room at this Resort the hotel manager/owner is rude. He denied me and my friend confirmed booking after reaching property. After 6pm property is unsafe without electricity. 2. The swimming pool is polluted. 3. Furniture shown in the picture is illustrated not in real life. 4. The area is haunted and we escaped somehow. No electricity no. Water. 5. Not suitable for families. 6. When we reached the police were busy in inquiry at counter.

***Elite Forest Retreat Hotel & Resort*** Reviewing after my weekend experience. Description: this is not exactly a resort type, but the property is owned by owners and leased to ELITE management team. The property is big enough but not maintained correctly. We found this on Insta add and we decided to go considering spending time into nature. There is few pros and cons. Pros: * The location is good covered by nature and hilly area. * Plenty of rooms and Villa/cottages. * Breakfast/lunch/dinner is excellent with varieties. * Silent place where you can chill with your friends. Cons: * Poor management and staff * Food has lots of soda in it. You will feel heavy after small meal. * AC not working into villa * Frequent Electricity cut off * You have to walk atleast 10mins to reach reception from villa * No intercom facility. * No Network except JIO * No WIFI except reception. * Bathroom not cleaned. Mattress and blanket not clean as we found crawling insect. * Water shortage at night. Supply is inadequate * No hangers or mirror into room to get ready or hang the clothes * You only get 1 bottle per person to drink. Rest all is chargeable. This was the worst part. later the manager gave us extra bottle. * We found baby cockroach into high tea. ***Photo Attached** * The swimming pool height is 4ft maximum. They charge us per person, and we booked the villa. Unfortunately, our one of friend got ill and could not join. They asked for full payment, but we try to refuse. At last, they agreed on half payment for the person who was absent. This was ridiculous. They have indoor games but all of them are broken or does not function. Carrom strike & strike TT. Only Table Tennis/dart/ludo/chess works.

After a long time visited this one of the best resort. The journey to the resort in rainy season is a very cool drive in my case I missed the road and have travelled through a dense jungle which was a pleasure. The first look of the resort with full surrounded by Green tall trees and properly managed roads is breathtaking. The reception is managed by senior mam Ms. Snehal Karnik and from your booking till final bill she looks after you with proper feedback and warm hospitality. Mr. Sachin Garg is soft-spoken through professional and always available on front desk to help you guide you to show you property around. He had given good practical suggestions while we were inspecting resort for group booking prior to our stay one month. The reception area is combination of a games room equipped with Table tennis, Mini Football Game Board, Chess etc. . . . However, the quality of equipment was so so. They have unique bicycle which can driven by 4 people's group. But may be due to rainy season it was not in working conditions. The have 2/3 MTB cycles avaable for enjoying cycling in and around resort. The well maintained mini theatre is a cooool temptation but it is a paid up facility and our group dropped that idea. But we enjoyed the [COOL] pool extnsively with a nice party music. They had give access to us to play our choice too. The rain shower arrangement on top of pool was real fun. Pool big enough to accommodate 2/3/4 groups. Well maintained with little extra chlorine. Equpped Gym is also available. They have multiple room options, Studio Apartments, Dormitory, Villa. We had opetd for rooms for group of 22 people. The unique concept is there are few adjesant rooms / studio apartment s are interconnected. Means there a wooden door which can be kept open so that group or family can spend more time together. Almost each apartment has got good balcony with sitting arrangements can be converted for drinks table at night. Tip - First floor's poolside room is my choice with L shape balcony. They provided us good quality bed linen, toiletries, closets, limited mineral water bottles and hot water kettle on demand too. Rooms are equipped with all basic comforts. Actually we were sceptical about all this after reading some earlier reviews and had prior visit too before our get-together on 23.07.2022. Now the time to acknowledge some of the great support extended by Mr. Rajnikant and his team . . . Considering the bigger group his team combined two rooms provided us additional tables and chairs. . .Provided a bigger water dispenser. . .Provided good room service. . . Mr. Rajnikant has served us a nice KFC Style chicken for starters in good quantity . . .Really it was signature dish. Little pre plan orders requird since the cafeteria / kitchen is little away from apartments. Staff is also local village young boys bf not professional hotel staff. In the rooms we opted triple occupancy option but third guest's mattresses and linen were also of good quality. The food is . Spread of lunch, dinner and breakfast was full of variety and was not limited like other resorts. Though that time resort was full there was good supply without any delay. Honestly we all had two rounds every time . Unfortunately have not clicked the food photos for adding in review but rest assured. For sure in morning breakfast you will get 3/4 types of fruits too. But they should provide at least the Tea & Coffee early morning from 6 am. for the morning walkers like us. There cafeteria and kitchen start serving only after 8 or 8.30am. which need to be improved. Please. The icing on the cake was the arrangement of DJ night on weekends with loud and clear music with great collection and disco lights. Worth visiting. Value for money. Request to all to keep the nature neat and clean and please - please do not throw plastic etc in nature.

Most terrible experience with Make my trip. !!Must Read!! This App has no updated information about any properties. Includes hidden charges. Using app We booked room for couple & pet in Elite karjat for rupees & paid online. Make my trip app clearly mentioned pets allowed. After spending an 3 hours of travelling & fuel, we reached property but We found big board of pet not allowed. Property manager illtreated us and made us stand outside property because of pet. Helplessly 1hour later we left property & travelled 20kms away, we got call from CSR demanded for 1000 extra for Pet. Then I spend 2 hours on the phone with a CSR who continues to tell me there is nothing they can do and NO refunds even though we see the problem was on Makemytrip end. As they mentioned pets allowed. They couldnt compensate for fuel or time but atleast we expected the whole amount we invested in booking. They only compensated with 377 rupees coupon. Altogether which don't even match our 10 c/o wastage of money. I will never use their service again and people booking through them should be aware of their very shady business practices. What a Nightmare!!

Even 1 star is too much for the experience we had. We booked an overpriced 3bhk villa which was not at all worth the cost for 10 people. Day Started with dirty and not maintained rooms in the villa which had no electricity throughout the day and we were stuck up with it. On complaining hotel staff lies about sending electrician but the problem remains manual outage which they disclose after fighting out for a change of villa. Swimming pool is dirty and the chemical used was eyes buring for most part, the tiles were broken and there were insects inside. Couple of us got hurt in the pool. The pool is next to a uncovered drainage and stinks. All games are mostly broken and not worth playing. Even carrom was not in good condition. The villas are too far from the center and there is no network nor wifi to reach out to elite staff in case anything is needed and even if we did, there is hardly any staff to attend to you. The worst was, we were told dinner available till 11 pm but after 1015 pm, there was no food. Basically, we were left hungry and with no food at all and the staff was adamant to not refill either. Had to deal with very disrespectful argument with the staff to get 4 portions of rice for 10 people group. We were made to wait for an hour and later was asked to pay for any food. This was mostly the case for breakfast, lunch, dinner. After all this mess, the management staff had the guts to say, "you are late and hence there is no food". Everything is chargeable, even 1 glass of milk, their regular water is dirty and the bottles are not cleaned, you have to buy bottles to drink from them. Overall, one of the worst experience we had.

The rooms were good. The swimming pool isn't deep which was a very bad experience for us. The service was pathetic. When we reached there, they started cleaning the rooms for us and then they realised there was no electricity in that building so they allotted a different flat in another building. Now the point is when this flat was vacant why did they ask us to wait for around 45 mins. Anyways, we got a different room and they also had an electricity issue. They started a generator which was also not working properly initially. Needless to say we did not get relaxation even after we got to the room. They took around 2-3 hours to resolve the electricity issue. Later we got an update from the security staff that they were aware of this electricity issue for two days but they didn't manage it. Since the AC wasn't working due to no electricity and it was very hot because of the summer season, we went to the pool to get some relief. We observed the pool isn't deep so we can't swim properly and diving wasn't possible. We had lunch and were delighted due to the paneer dish they gave.It was very tasty. I am a foodie person but never had such a great Paneer sabji. The rest of the food was kind of fine. We then went to the main attraction part "Games". We played table tennis, carrom and table soccer. It was a relaxing time. At dinner they promised to give one veg and one non veg dish. However, they served us two veg dishes and when we asked for the non veg dish, they served us the same food that they cooked for another group's buffet system. Now this was a quick diplomatic management to replace the costly dish with the chicken curry. That Chicken Curry was also not good. One guy said we can have food in our rooms but when we checked at the dinner they said we will pack the food and it would be chargeable. Our package was expensive (including food) compared to the service we were getting. They provide one water bottle per person per day and if you want more it's chargeable. No sweet dish after lunch or dinner. The property is very good but is in the wrong hands. I'm commenting on this due to the management. The primary goal of every business is customer satisfaction which they fail to attain many times. The property is far from the station. The nearby station is Neral and auto will take 350-400 for one auto (4 people). While returning you have to check for the auto again and it can be arranged for 400 Rs. While checking out the owner offered us a complimentary movie but that's when our Autowala was waiting at the door. We would have appreciated it if he could have provided this to us in the evening. Overall half of our time was in compromise with the things. We suggest visiting this place with friends only otherwise you might have to listen to a lecture from your partner . Also, enjoy this resort in winter or monsoon. No TV remote in the rooms and AC wasn't working properly. I hope this will be useful to someone. Thanks.

Although the property is huge, it is not at all maintained, rooms are basically residential studio apartments, which are not clean (we had to change our room) and require repairs. Food - good. Hospitality - extremely poor. Power - The area has power outage problem and the power back up arrangements are inefficient. In case of power outage, it took two hours for the back up power to kick in. Swimming pool - looks quite tempting in photos, but would be hardly 4ft deep and dirty. Mobile network - No airtel network on the property and no wifi in certain rooms. These rooms don't even have intercom, so you would be completely disconnected. The hotel manager was quite chatty and good to talk to, he was courteous enough to change our room at 5pm post checkouts by existing guests, but the place needs serious improvements.

it is the worst experience ever. there are power cuts with no back up generator. even where there is light majority of the day there was not enough power supply to make ac or fan work, only lights were on. Poor maintenance. pool is pathetic. water accumulated beside the pool is green in color nobody has bothered cleaning it. guests were constantly complaining of inadequate services, rooms were not allotted timely, there is no room service at least not in the villa. Villas are far off from the reception and if you don't have a vehicle you will have a tough time. once you checkin nobody will bother visiting you for the problems raised because the villa is far away from reception. This was the worst experience. we didn't bother eating food - dinner lunch breakfast included in the package for obvious reasons and chose to have food outside in the dhaba. They are not at all bothered about the guests.
