The place was clean and reasonably well kept. There were many elephants standing at various places eating or just simply standing. After the first few elephants we realized that all elephants were chained in 2 legs and some had chains on 3 legs. This is seriously inhumane. These are gentle giants that normally walk 20-30km a day in the forests being forced to stand in the same spot for hours. Few of them had severe chaffing on their legs having been chained tight with very little slack for movement. We can totally understand the frustration such treatment can cause, forcing them to act up occasionally. Our expectation that these animals would be treated better for they carry the gods on their backs was completely squashed. We returned sad and with an uneasy feeling in our stomach.

A lot of elephants are there, and it is a must-visit place in Guruvayur area. More than 40 elephants are there, including a 95 years old big elephant, and the place is under Guruvayur Devasom Board. Entry tickets for Rs20 for adults and Rs10 for kids. A good parking space is available and a neat and clean place. It is a recommended and nice place to visit with your kids and family.

Lots of elephants are there which were maintained by caretakers. We can see how they are cleaning the elephants and feeding them. We can take photos and videos too. Kids will definitely enjoy the place. This is not just an elephant camp, this is home for them. Peaceful and beautiful place if you are an elephant lover. Ample parking is available and also a mini shop. Loved it.

A nice place to see so many Elephants in one place. I think, I saw around 20-25 Elephants. Since this facility is being run by Guruvayoor Dewasom, a profitable board running the affairs of this place, Elephants are well kept, with a religious, spiritual zeal with facilities for vetenary doctors, dedicated space called "Vrindavanam Estates" with an area of apprx 100 acres, where palms and other fodder for Elephants is griwn.

Elephant Kotta (aan kuutttt) near Guruvayoor, Kerala is the closest Elephant Training camp to the Kochi International Airport and therefore the Tourist Circuit. It's also close to the revered Guruvayoor Temple. There are a host of elephants which can be seen at close quarters. The entrance fee is very reasonable. It's primarily a Training School for Elephants where the public has access to. Some Grand Pachyderms can be spotted there. Open from 8 AM to 6 PM all days.

Visited on the Tuesday 12th sept by 11 am . this houses about 50 elephants and has been taken care by the mahouts and there is vetrinary doctor in the premises , we were able to see elephants being bathed in pon , usinh hospe pipes and the way they have been eating the leaves after cleaning them . This is woderful place for all age groups . The place is surrounded by natural vegetation and with lot of shades . The entry ticket is Rs 20 and for camera ( including the phone ) is Rs 25 and parking is Rs 30 , They should think of increasing the revenue by charging separte for mahout training elphant . Good place to visit you can spend more than an hour in this place

A must place to visit for elephant lovers. Near Guruvayoor temple. The ticket rate is 20 only. We can see a lot of elephants there, and we can take photos if required. Parking for vehicles is available.
