El Oceano Beach Villas - Resort hotel in Alappuzha - Alappuzha, India

Last March -2019 we had a school reunion at this Hotel. We were a group of 17. We stayed at this resort for 4 days. From the day we arrived we were looked after very well. Staff were exceptional. Extremely obliging. It was very homely kind of resort. The food was great. If you looking for a relaxing quiet place to chill out, look no further.

We stayed at the beach villa, away from the main property. The Area is peaceful, serene. There is nothing else to do at this place though. Pool and all other stuff are at the main property. So if you have kids and want to keep them engaged, better choose the main property, but it does not have any sea view. The buffet breakfast is not the usual spread, you get to choose/order from a small set available.

Its fantastic and very peaceful area and the Staff Mr GINTO and Chef AJEESH has taken very personal care during my stay. The courtesy extended to me has no words. At my Check-out Mr Chef has given a very delicious sandwiches and juices with some fruit as per my will. I do miss their hospitality. Overall, its a luxury experience for me and my wife. APPRECIATE.

Friendly staff and great spa. Hotel split between 2 locations main hotel and beach front bungalows with their own catering facility. Dinner in the main hotel garden great experience. Hotel offers a free tuc-tuc between the main hotel and the villas should you be staing in one of the four beach front properties

We had booked 2 rooms for 4th January. Since it was Kerala strike that day we could reach only after 7pm. We were allotted 2 spacious rooms 204 and 205. Both rooms especially Room 204 were swarming with mosquitoes, and both especially 205 had a horrible musty beery smell. The staff was helpful to open another 1 room for us to sleep in. The food at the restaurant was not even passable.... We had ordered Chinese food which was worse than roadside noodles. However, the location and property is very beautiful and the staff cooperative.

Location of El Oceano main property campus is average but it's cleanliness, hygiene both in the common area of pool, restaurant , reception, lawn, landscaping and rooms was almost 5 star. Ayurvedic Massages are also brilliant and value for money specially the short duration ones. Pool is super quality and so was staff. They have less service folks so be patient but they do take care. Beach Villas are not connected and 500 mts away at Kattor beach which is around 3 KM South of Marari Beach. For Beach Villas Tuktuk are arranged as in off season kitchen is operate in the main property area only and for dining one has to come there . Bicycles beyond Tuktuks are another way to travel to Beach. Beach Villas are phenomenal bang on Beach with super large bathrooms. Games room has table tennis and carom board. Food is above average but has scope for improvement.

All was nice but room quality was not good, had problem with hot water which was not coming, shower was not properly working, but later they had rectify that, room service was not good, when I came back to the room left over plates were still there. Location was perfect, at a walkable distance from the beach and they were also offering bicycles. to have fun. Food was excellent.

Great location as it's very close to Beach (walkable 10min). The resort has done it's best to maintain the Ayurvedic + Vintage look. Clean and hygienic. The staff is very helpful. Good place for couples to relax.
