This is the best example of Monolithic rock formation with Shiva temple on the top, though no pooja or worship occurred here, it seems it was a history. There is a watchtower also besides the temple. One can see the scenic view of a lake also from the top
Ekashila Gutta is a huge monolithic rock formation that houses a watch tower and remnants of a temple on top of the monolithic rock. It's easily visible from a distance. It's located in the confines and ruins of 'Warangal Fort'. Ekashila Gutta offers fantastic views from the top. The climb to the top consists of rock cut stairs that are easy to climb and provided with metal rails for safety. The adjacent lake forms a beautiful scenic backdrop for pictures. One has to purchase an entry ticket for 'Ekashila Childrens Park' to get to 'Ekashila Gutta' the entrance tickets are prices very nominal and there are no extra charges for photography using mobile phone. Parking can be an issue, there is limited parking available and on public holidays and during evening hours finding a decent parking spot maybe difficult. There is a small stall that sells water and some snacks within the park for refreshments. Visitors generally come to spend a quite time in the evenings and to keep the children happy there are many entertainment activities by enterprising locals.

Ekashila gutta is located near Warangal fort and you have to go through the ekashila children park to reach this place. I don't think there is any other way to reach this place. Steps are little bit slippery but view is great from here.
