Eighth Bastion - CGH Earth - Hotel in Kochi - Ernakulam, India

A gorgeous stay at Eighth Bastion. The rooms have a wonderful touch of old school charm. A wonderful welcome and hosting by the staff. Breakfast was good - not amazing. The pool was great to relax in at the end of a busy day of sight seeing. It was within walking distance of St Francis Church, Princess Street, Burgher Street. It was a great option for Fort Kochi and we would definitely stay here again.

It's quaint, cosy, boutique, luxury all in one. Excellent rooms. Very friendly staff. The ambience is very colonial and in an old world Dutch style. They have an in house restaurant East Indies which is pretty good. They also provide a lot of activities - including a free heritage walk and an auto tour.

Lovely hotel. Nice breakfast. Nice room. Welcoming staff. Tuk tuk driver was a little pushy trying to bring us to shops he wanted us to go to. Air con in room was not cold. Hotel staff rang in the am to tell us to come to breakfast despite it being advertised that it is served til after 10 am. Empty restaurant in the am and couldnt sit by the window as cups were on the middle table? Lovely areas in hotel to relax and have a drink. Overall-lovely experience.

Had a wonderful stay here in November 2022. The property is well designed with a swimming pool. The staff are courteous. The place offers delicious food , spacious rooms, and a bathroom with a tub. There are a lot of installations in the building. The only downside is the parking, as there is no proper parking space. You need to park the car on the roadside.

L'hotel etait parfait. La chambre etait tres grande, propre, decoration soignee, bons produits d'hygiene mis a disposition. L'endroit avec la piscine a debordement est tres belle. Le petit dejeuner excellent avec le choix entre continental et indien. Grand point positif sur le personnel vraiment sympatique et souriant je recommande !

Stay at CGH was super! While the rooms were simple, they were clean and the balcony and bathroom were very nice. The best part was the food (though complimentary breakfast was only alright) and the warm and thoughtful service of the restaurant and hotel staff. Still thinking about the dinners.

Stayed here for two nights in July and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Clean and well cared for, this hotel is located centrally in Fort Kochi and we were able to walk to most of what we wanted to see. Very service oriented staff and calm, comfortable environment. We did not check out the pool or eat in the restaurant but both looked welcoming. Would stay again if we return to the area.

Hotel contemporain et elegant mais pas froid faisant partie de l'excellent groupe CGHEarth. Tres bien situe a Fort Kochi, le quartier historique cossu et touristique de Kochi, en bord de mer, entoures de grands arbres et palmiers et maisons de ravissantes maisons historique. Chambres tres confortables suffisamment spacieuses avec balcon, disposant de tout le confort necessaire, tres propre et joliment decore. Service souriant, tres aimable, reactif et tres professionnel. le restaurant un peu basique dans son decor sert de delicieux petits dejeuner et repas. c'est reellement un plaisir de ne pas avoir meme a sortir de l'hotel pour manger aussi bien.
