Eco Retreat Odisha, Satkosia - Tourist attraction in Badamul, Satkosia - Cuttack, India

A perfect destination for a staycation. Away from the noise of urban city crowds, this place will thrill you with its absolute calmness. The boat safari is a must-do. We were fortunate enough to spot 3 crocodiles. Even if you won't still you won't regret spending time and enjoying the serene nature. The night-time cultural activities were amazing. Especially listening to an amazing voice while having dinner was delightful. (Though I don't know if he performs there every day) Now about the food. Earlier Mayfair used to serve there but recently the catering service has been provided by Pramod Hotels. The food quality was good. It's just they didn't have any options other than soup in the starter section in the lunch buffet. However, the dinner buffet & breakfast were good. A good initiative by OTDC. Kudos

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Satkosia. The tents were so luxurious, and had everything you would expect to find in any hotel. The food was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. We especially liked kayaking across the river, and seeing the forest and wildlife on our trek and boat trip

I visited Satkosia ecoretreat with my family for 1 night in Dec 2022 last week. I am glad to share that we were absolutely delighted to have chosen this place for our vacation. Accommodation - the tents are definitely luxury category with all facilities, like Ac, heater , fire safety etc. The washroom is gorgeous and all available amenities are eco friendly. The beds are comfortable and heater was good enough to keep us warm during the cold night. Food - Food spread is amazing, catering is by Mayfair so you can understand. All meals are available, breakfast lunch dinner and hi-tea. The highlight was live singing by a talented gentleman during dinner, loved it. Activities - Numerous activities are available to keep you busy. Games like cricket, volleyball, dart game, carrom, archery and many more. In house boating options are speed boat (5 mins included in package), kayaking and paddle boat. Apart from that you can also go for satkosia boating (on payment) that can be arranged by the resort staff. We took it and saw crocodiles, deer and a kingfisher bird. Dont miss the morning yoga at 7am from watch tower. Location - location is mesmerizing, you can sit outside the tent viewing the nature's painting. Sunset and sunrise views are gorgeous. Interestingly not even a single mosquito in that area. Staff is courteous, however they can be more proactive in making people aware of the facilities and activities. Ideal itinerary for 1 night would be - arrive at 12 noon, rest and lunch. 4-5pm all in-house boating activities. Post hi-tea, enjoy all games until dinner. Next day post checkout at 10am, take the boating ride. Overall, a fabulous experience. I urge everyone in Odisha to ditch other states for vacation this season and explore eco retreat options. At a range of 8k, its absolute value for money and infact subsidised if you consider the cost of all activities food and accommodation. Go for it !

We, Four couples booked for 'one night stay' in four deluxe cottages on 2nd December,23. Lovely scenic place. Full of natural beauties. Wonderful hospitality provided by Manager, staffs through out. Foods were excellent. Tents were very comfortable and clean. Nice entertainment provided by local dance troupes and "Biren" with his lovely voice singing old hindi and odiya songs. There are needs to make some improvements. 1. More cooling needed in Dining area. 2. To prevent insects,Flies entering dining area 3. Regular check up water inlet systems in toilets. Definitely recommend to visit this place.

a wonderful Anniversary Vacation at the Eco Retreat Satkosia. This place gives the ultimate peace vibes the moment you set your foot at the place. The Manager Mr. Lalatendu Mohapatra and his team of young and highly professional people took great care and treated us like VIPs. There was a stark difference in the kind of hospitality I received in some other resorts in Odisha. The catering is completely handled by the Mayfair Lagoon Hotel, Bhubaneswar team. The food was of 5 star quality and the buffet spread was very nice. They have fresh catch from Mahanadi river everyday. With 3 meals and evening tea & snacks from Mayfair Hotel, it's a steal deal to stay at the Eco Retreat. The majestic river Mahanadi is at a distance of 100 feet. The water is crystal clear. Since the retreat is at the Satkosia Gorge, so the river is sorrounded by forest filled hills. A quick boat ride near the gorge can show wild crocodiles basking in the sun. The Satkosia Tiger reserve is 500 meters away and a morning Trek will literally fill you up with pure oxygen. It's hard to stay tired in that trek. The Eco Retreat is loaded with activities like cycling, archery, volleyball, badminton, cricket, paddle water boating, speed boating and ATV rides. With live singing and bonfire every evening, the stay was joyful. All the gear are acquaired from Decathlon Sports hence the quality was premium too. The sightseeing acitivities included the exciting drive thru the dense jungles of Lastly the tent houses had a premium feel to themselves. The beds were comfy and all the tents had ACs. The bathroom section of the tent was nicely prepared and had some nice hotel amenities. This is a must visit place and a minimum of 2 night stay is recommended. At this time of the year the guests have reduced hence the place is not crowded. With great phone data network this place can be used for a nice staycation. Eco Retreat Satkosia is operational till end of February this year. So make the best use of this time and enjoy that serene ultra peaceful place.

Located in a very serene and sublime location.. ambience is superb..staffs are very polite and foods are amazing..one can go for boat ride or can take a jungle trekking..worth staying at this place

That's one of the best experiences I've had recently. From the warm reception, stay and to the food everything is so perfect as well as musical nights and the kind behaviour of the staff. Definitely recommended.

Such a tranquil and beautiful place to be at stunning views, sunrise and sunsets, loads of activities to keep you busy, amazing people, amazing food, couldn't go wrong with a trip to this ecoretreat.
