Eco park - Boat club in Thoothukudi - Thoothukudi, India

Not sure who gives big ratings here. I had high hopes seeing the many 5 stars here. The name Ecopark gave us an impression that it was a big park with nature and folio. No. There is no nature in this park. In fact it is only approx 3000sqft in size and has a few trees and ducks and hens running around. The kayak was ok. Not great. There is a sizable backwater with approximately 2~3 feet depth. It is very windy and the kayaks are small ones which would break your back and get tossed in the wind. The canoe paddles did not have water rings and hence your bottom half will get fully wet. Maybe a start for better things for Tuti, but certainly a disappointment for us considering the image we had in mind.

1. Your lower body gets wet after kayaking. A kind note on that. 2. Your wrist and fingers will be shaky while kayaking and at least some hours after it. So, be careful about taking your valuables or mobiles especially while kayaking and after that as well. 3. You will get mild shoulder pain and hip pain. But nothing to worry about. 4. There was a canteen, but when we went nothing was there. So don't rely on that. 5. No need to worry about depth or you are over weight. It's totally safe and a fun sport for all. 6. For 100Rs per 30 mins, it's worth it.

Excellent place near salt pans opposite shore on beach road in Tuticorin for spending time with family and friends. It has boating and rafting. Boating costs 500 for 30 min. And rafting costs 100 per person. One can have a beautiul view of NLC thermal power plant from eco park.

Good place in Tuticorin. located in Beach Road. It has a small park. It also has Boating facilities. 1 person boat, 2 person boat , 4 person boats. All boats are self-driven.

A place managed by the district administration.. Boating facilities available... Single boat costs 100 rupees and the family boat costs 300 rupees. The place is neat and safe. Few more water games can be added.

A very good place to relax with loved one.. boating is the highlight of this place. Place to be maintained cleanliness. Improved cafeteria required..

It's good for 1 hour time pass... Kayak boat is very good but pedal boat not good as expected. Excellent gardening arrangements for Photo shoots

After lockdown due to Covid-19, they haven't resumed their operations. But, park and cafe will be open for public.. Only boating and kayaking are temporarily paused. WARNING: Even though there is no board or sign mentioning that cameras are not allowed, one particular guy came and asked for money and he even said that's a rule. Don't fall for the trap. I asked him to prove that it's a rule. He walked away.
