ECHO point Munnar - Tourist attraction in Kannan Devan Hills - Idukki, India

Very scenic place. Echo will only be heard if you speak loudly or in a grp. Boating is also available and kayaking also . Photographers told very good poses . Shops are also available for breakfast, shopping and snacks. Must try the mango there. Must visit

Nice place to spend at least an hour. The voice which echoes (the names of our beloved ones) gives great joy. One should also get cashews which is sold at the entrance. The prices are cheap compared to Goa and TN. The photographers did a great job there.

Absolutely loved this place! When we reached here (around 3.45-4 pm) the weather was cloudy. It was pleasantly cold and windy, and we spent at least 45 mins here, shouting and whistling,listening to our echoes. Must visit family fun place! We would have loved spending more time here but it started raining . Nice serene spot.

The beauty of Munnar is legendary. Eco point is situated around 15kms from Munnar, and draws huge crowd, thanks to the natural phenomenon of echo. Located on the way to the Top station, the highest point in Munnar, echo point provides the perfect point to see the glory of the valley that lies beneath it. They are charging an amount of Rs 20 for one person to enter in to the lake side.

Visited this place two months back with my college mates as a part of our industrial visit in Devikulam. This Echo Point in Munnar is one of the most famous tourist destination there with lots of people visiting this place in the way to the top station of Munnar. The main attraction here is the echo that comes back from the hills on the other side of the lake that flows through the middle when u shout out really loud. I suggest you to shout in groups for better results . The place is fun. Even if there are so many people around you will never feel it crowdy because of the ample amount of space there. There are plenty of stores in and around the place selling handicrafts, sweet corn and so on along with various activities like shooting balloons etc. This place is very much suitable for photography. There are facilities for boating too, for the visitors. The authorities of the place might charge you a sum of money for entrance and such activities. Our entry fee was already paid along with the trip package. Therefore I am not much aware about the rates there.

Echo point in munnar is one of the destination to visit in one of the four direction you selected to travel in munnar. It will be quite interesting as you have seen in movies that if you speak loud your voice will return that is echo we call. So it's just bring a smile on your face ,but you can skip this if you have limited time.

A good view place. Clean waters in the lake. Best times to visit are during sunset and early morning. Its crowded most of the time and since it is an echo location, lot of people and children blasting their vocal chords.
