Easy Hostels Goa - Backpacker Hostel in Panaji - North Goa, India

Comfortable place in the heart of the beautiful Fontainhas quarter. 10 mins of light walk from the bus station, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants are a few steps away. Tasty traditional Indian breakfast. And amazing property manager Sunny who will do his best to make your stay as comfortable as possible ;) in terms of proposed improvements - 1) would be great to include the towels in the price of the room, 2) the AC was quite noisy in my room (i stayed in a 4 bed dorm), 3) room key is not provided to the guest so I felt a little uncomfortable to always ask Sunny to open the room door for me.

I wanted to stay at Easy Hostels/Marquito's Guest House (they're both the same place) for a single night before my morning flight. The hostel dorm is quite tiny, and the beds are smaller than most hostels but the location is walking distance from a lot of fun places so it could work for a short trip. The hotel ran out of water the day of my visit and the staff seemed incapable of communicating properly - the manager eventually just vanished from the reception and wouldn't even tell me his name, instead directing me to call the owner. All I wanted was a hot shower and a place to sleep, but without water the bathroom was stinking and unusable and I had to find another place to check-in, and despite telling me I would get a refund it never arrived.

Best place to stay if you are travelling Solo and visiting casino. Decent room, regular cleaning and extremely kind reception, Ranjeet. He always answers queries even if his sleep is disturbed. He's an asset to the owner !

If you are looking for a budget friendly stay and the casino is on your mind then this place is very very close to all the casinos in Panji. hardly a 200m walk from the place takes you to the riverfront where all the big casinos are located. The rooms are comparatively small and are basically bachelor's oriented only. Food wise they have a very limited menu and it's basically a disappointment only. As long as you just need to pass out a night after your experience in Casinos, then it's a recommended place.

Cons: initially when we booked the property over a telephonic conversation, we booked a dorm stay (4 beds) as there were 3 of us. Later, the manager (mark) calls us and tells us that they dont have that dorm room available and instead he can give us a private room to which we agreed. (Ps. We had paid the advance money already) Later, when we reached at 3pm, we had to wait for an hour for the checkin and we did not get the private room as promised by Mark, instead we were back to square one, the 4 bed dorm room. After all of this inconvenience, we got a dorm room which had an excessive growth of fungus on the walls. Our allergies acted up, even after 3 days of checking out, we're still coughing and sneezing. Horrible management. Pros: the only good thing was the cleaning staff and the caretaker/receptionist during the night time who offered us gum.

I had opted for a mixed dorm stay. The services are very good, as some is always available at the reception 24*7. Ranjit had been very helpful for anything that was required. The size of rooms for the dorms is smaller so no lockers available, but you can store your valuables at the reception if required. Please carry your own toiletries as they dont provide any. They also have a small kitchen and cafe which can be used to work or chill. Basic breakfast is provide if opted for.

excellent location, friendly staff. all good! room is just kinda small & they dont have breakfast included. Location is very unique, place has a typical Portuguese colonial era vibe

I booked a triple room, but when we got there it was a double with barely enough room to open the door. Lucky I insisted on looking at the room before paying- the manager was not happy about this and didn't want to show me before I paid. He then tried to sell me a bigger room for double the money. The advertised 5g internet was not working at all. We left without staying. The location is good. EDIT IN REPLY TO THE OWNER: We booked a room for 2 adults and an extra bed for our 11 year old. There was no space for an extra bed, there was barely enough room for the double bed. You gave us the wifi password as we insisted on testing the internet, but you also told us it wasn't working. You then wanted to charge us double for the room we originally had asked for. Stop lying and stop trying to rip people off.
