East India House - Hotel in Mira Bhayandar - Thane, India

Excellent is one word that sums up our stay. Right from the location to the staff to the rooms to the food. Peaceful location within the city, yet seems miles away from it. The trek organised by the hotel is truly worth it and a must do. Perfect weekend retreat. Highly recommend. Will return for sure.

We had the most amazing stay! This place is a hidden gem, so close to the city, yet secluded enough.. The view is beautiful, especially watching the sunset from the pool. The food was delicious! The staff was so kind and helpful. Rooms are clean, comfortable and very well designed. There was a lovely live music performance in the evening..

All that glitters is not gold is my honest opinion about East India House. While it looks all fancy in the photographs the rooms and property is extremely compact.The infinity pool is the only highlight. I say this because it's a total rip off and not worth the price you are paying for. It's a pet friendly place but the pet is charged INR 1500 while there is no open space. Also there is no room service! The check in time is at 1pm however the climate here is best in the morning. On the good side the food is delicious and the dinning area is just beautiful. Rest assured you will get good photographs but the question is would you want to pay so much for just food and photographs ? Think wisely.

Went with family in 2023. Rooms are nice and clean, with a good television and good beds. Slight issue with the bathroom door being translucent but was a minor inconvenience than anything. Wifi is fairly strong. There are walking paths nearby and the area itself is beautiful, although the paths are rough so if you want to go on walks, make sure to take good shoes. There is a swimming pool, but it is not big and shallow enough to stand. As a result, it is more suitable as a place to pass time as opposed to a place to swim and exercise. The hotel is fairly small but very pretty looking. Finally, the food there is great. They have set menus for lunch and dinner which changes daily. Examples of the menu can be found on their website although not completely accurate. However, the breakfast is fairly limited, and while the indian options does change each day, there is no continental options excluding egg and omelette. Overall a great experience in a great location.

This is a wonderful hidden gem at Uttan, that's an unexplored get away still. Just located at the outskirts of the city, this fishing village is worth the visit. And EAST INDIA HOUSE is the perfect place to stay with friends or family. We had visited this place in the rains and the experience was everything I had hoped the weekend getaway would be. Ambience 5/5 The rooms are very well decorated and designed, giving homage to the East Indian community in their rooms.Huge TV's with great range of subscriptions if you just want to chill. The infinity pool with the views are unbelievable. It was very beautiful in the rains. Food 5/5 Excellent and exceptional food, with the chef's outdoing themselves. It's a fixed menu but you can order ala carte as well. Outstanding dishes- Mutton Biryani, mutton roghan josh, keema pav, pesto spaghetti, pomfret fry, chikki roll. Service 5/5 The staff is very courteous and always smiling ready to serve, they even customised our requests as we had children as well. They are pet friendly which is a big plus. The owner himself Mr. Mukesh Parikh had joined for a night of Karaoke and live singing. Their hospitality and management is top notch. A live singer with amazing performance was organised on Saturday and this made our evening. It's truly worth visiting and we would surely be visiting again.

Rooms were extremely good, the staff- Managers Dinesh And Angelo were very cordial and courteous and the service boys were very good and hands on and also guided us to the trekking spot. They kept enquiring and asking us if we needed anything which was also very nice and sweet of them. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The view? Amazing. Very peaceful and quiet place, with trees all around you. The decor too was unique and amazing. The infinity pool and the trek were the highlights of east india house. The pool was very clean, we were in it for a long time but it didn't make our skin itchy or cause any discomfort that we usually feel when we get in other pools. The food too was amazing!! It was delicious and there were so many options and variety to pick and eat from, the presentation too was very unique and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. If i could, i would rate it a solid 10/10 on google reviews. I'd definitely come back to this place.

Absolutely loved our getaway to the East India House near Mumbai! The infinity pool was a gem, providing a breathtaking view that added an extra layer of relaxation. The rooms, though compact, were spotless and cozy, making our stay comfortable. The convenience of a set menu for meals was a game-changer, offering a diverse array of delicious dishes without the overwhelm of a lengthy menu. It made dining a delightful experience. There was also the soulful voice of Shubham from Lucknow who made the dining experience unforgettable. Shout out to Dinesh at the reception and Jayesh bhai for being so helpful and ever smiling and courteous from the moment we stepped onto the property to the time we drove off. Jayesh bhai also guided the trek to the hillock in front of the property, in the evening to watch the sunset. Overall, a perfect retreat for urban travelers, especially with little ones in tow. Highly recommend it for a refreshing escape!

Overall the place is good. Location is not the best being in vicinity of a dump yard and the approach is a little difficult being far away from the station. But that being said, this boutique hotel is definitely worth a visit for its beautiful views and cleanliness. Its surrounded by greenery and the owner Mr. Jitesh Parikh is a very sweet person. The food was good with some dishes being a hit and some being a miss. They were polite enough to let us customise the menu to suit our taste as we had 5 rooms of the 10 available booked for ourselves. The ravioli was not done and it had a sweet sauce which they seemed to have dumped from the Malai Kofta which was also in the dinner menu. The second day of our stay, meal service had absolutely no servers during the dinner time. I would rate the food a 6/10. Breakfast menu lacks continental options but is good with the Indian options that they have. The cheesecake for dessert had absolutely no cream cheese but was rather just a pastry with a lot of cream which was again a huge disappointment. Paneer dishes were good but the pasta was lacking salt and was tasting sweet with no veggies. The soups and starters across all meals were a delight. Paneer and potato fritters during evening snacks were bland and despite repeated requests lacked spices and flavour, only the onion fritters were on fleek. Drinks were missing across all meals but upon request they were kind enough to make us a sweet lime soda for one meal. Mr. Dinesh the manager had a service with a smile and was there to help at every point. They have live music on weekends which was something we really enjoyed and they were kind enough to invite Mr. Umair Sayyd the singer who sang really nicely on Monday as well. They do not have a lot of activities or indoor games but a small patch of green wherein you can enjoy with a frisbee or just sit and relax. The lounge chairs by the pool were also a great addition to sit and enjoy the greenery during dusk and dawn. The pool is good and enjoyable but half of it is clean while the other half is covered in algae. Rooms are of a good size for 2 people and lower deck rooms have a little balcony to sit and enjoy morning tea while upper rooms have a good view of the pool and greenery. Bathrooms are decently sized and clean with well stacked toiletries. Room service is slow and needs improvement. Clean towels were provided as and when asked for and rooms and bathrooms were promptly cleaned upon request too. They are also constructing a villa on their property which has good views and in the next couple of months should be a good place to stay over a weekend. Overall I would love to visit this property again with family and book the boutique hotel all out, but the few misses here and there are something that they really need to work on. A final rating of 7.5/10 would mean this place is worth a visit but I hope they work on the small glitches.
