Earthenkitchen champaran meat - Non Vegetarian Restaurant in Thane - Thane, India

Ordered 800gms mutton but I doubt about the quantity being delivered and pieces. Most of the pieces were boney pieces. Taste was good but definitely not fully cooked in handi. It seems it is pre cooked in then kept in Handi and heated over coal which is not how it should be prepared. Although I enjoyed the food but was too costly to be enjoyed again. Delivery was another problem through porter. Although it came but he was given wrong address by the shop and then came here. Overall experience was just average largely because if high price and portion not worth the money.

Mutton quantity and quality was ok. But Litti was so inedible, we threw away all 4 littis (we never throw food, felt so bad but it was inedible). Outer 20% crust was crispy but inner 80% was uncooked aata (dough). Sattu was also poor quality. Quantity of sattu was sufficient but that does not matter if quality was inedible.

i have discovered this restaurant, and have been ordering Champaran meat matki from them , i must say the taste is so authentic and yummy. So if you are looking for authentic Champaran meat , this is the place to go and best part is they deliver across mumbai and take direct orders, so you dont need to order from Zomato

Today my order of 1 kilo mutton came from Thane branch. I must compliment them that their taste is the same across all branches. Mutton quality is the best iv ever had in any restaurant in India! And taste /preparation is unmatched! Full credits to the passionate entrepreneur Mr Yatish Chandra who personally ensures great quality and smooth functioning. I highly recommend Earthen Kitchen. Go for it guys

Disappointed. Chicken pieces were very good but the gravy wasn't good it had water which isn't put for making gravy. It was a bit overcooked.The taste was not that good. Even we ordered the fish the pieces were good but the gravy wasn't.

Very disappointed with this place . The positive reviews , i am sure , are written by the owner and his friends. The Thane outlet is extemely dirty . the walls are stained . The staff is unclean with dirty pants and t-shirt. On the whole the place has a unhygienic look and feel. I was dreading to order food after seeing the place and staff , but decided to give the food a chance. Food was very disappointing . Firstly , the littis were undercooked. The chokha and the tomato chutney that is served all with had an overdose of mustard oil , so much so that we started coughing. The chokha had zero flavour except for the excessive mustard oil. The mutton , which is supposed to be the hero dish , was disappointing . We ordered the one with 7 pieces and only for 5. and that too tiny bony pieces with hardly any meat on them . and for this they charge 698rs. the mutton was stale and had a smell. I have mutton almost everyday . so i know bad mutton. and honestly , u dont have to be a mutton expert in this case as it was obvious that its stale mutton. The gravy lacked any flavour . I mean it was normal onion tomato gravy . nothing special. When we complained to the owner , a guy called Chandra , about the quality of the food , he started to scream and shout. Very rude and uncouth guy !!! Please do not go to this awful place . its a complete no-no.

I had ordered Champaran Mutton Handi (Ahuna Mutton). It came in Earthen Matka sealed with Atta. The aroma and taste was excellent. Full points to the chef. Hope they maintain the quality and taste going forward. Definitely going to order again. Highly recommend!!!

We ordered Matton matki, litti and chokha....the food came in a nicely packed box and on time. The mutton was awesome, cooked to perfection, and taste was 10 on 10. The spices were well balanced and gravy went well both with rice and roti. The littis were well cooked and the stuffing was good. The chokha had that nice kick of mustard and green chillies. The tomato chutney added that perfect tangy twist to the menu. Highly recommended.
