Well maintained railway station by eastern railway. one of the cleanest station of West Bengal. Easy accesable of Taxi and Buses. Retire room and waiting room available here.
SBSTC & Private bus also available. To go Malda, Kolkata, Howrah, Bankura, Purulia, Asansol, etc. SBSTC tickets counter beside bus terminus.
Normal place no waiting area. Have a urinal or bathroom but not clean at all and charge a few bucks. Many food options but not so healthy or hygienic. Many bus of long distance starts from here.
One of the places where Bustand & Railway station are too close together. You will get lots of buses going to Digha, Kolkata, Beharampur, Malda, Purulia and other places. Lots of hotel & shops are there. Area is paved with concrete. But administration should give attention for clearing purpose.

Nice and clean compared to other stations. Cordial behaviour of rail employees. SBSTC bus services is there. Local mini bus ply in various routes and covered almost all parts of Durgapur. Cheap and best. One thing that it lacks that they don't provide any tickets for plying locally through bus.
