Walked inside without expecting much. Came out with wonderful memories of looking at the paintings and watching a screening of Girl with the Pearl Earring. Kochi never ceases to surprise me
Parking: Same parking space as Durbar Hall ground. The ground and the gallery are in the same location, next to each other. Entry fee: None, when we went there. There was an exhibition going on when we went, there was no ticket counter anywhere. Toilets: Did not see any signboards pointing to any.
The building is built with traditional roofing. was quite impressed with the number of beautiful paintings and artworks hanged on the wall.Each and every work has its own uniqueness and beauty.
One of the most interesting galleries by far. Highly recommended.
I was there during the Biennale exhibition. The exhibition here was much smaller than the one in Fort Cochin, but they were fantastic and were all from local artists. Plus unlike the other one, this one wasn't crowded at all. I was interested to see local arts, so I actually prefer this over the one there. The building itself was also beautiful.
A good place to hang out: clean and neat with food spots and stone chairs.
Very good place to visit,well maintained and the staffs are very kind,friendly and informative.Its on the side of durbar hall which is located on the main road side.The art gallery is well built and full of wooden floors and steps.It contains lots of memory pics of hindi film and art direction.Another room consists of drawings which are in high scale and it takes time to understand all.If we could spend all time and only if we have interest its better.
It's a best place to spend your time , if you are bored at usual views of Kochi. There is lot of art works by different artists are exhibited. You can spend your time on watching and understanding the meanings of these works. And outside of the gallery there is Durbar Hall ground, you can sit there peacefully
