One of the BEST WATERFALLS IN INDIA!!! U must experience this to accept what I just wrote above. There are 4 different waterfalls in ONE PLACE itself... Make sure to go down (disclaimer : It is UNAUTHORISED ENTRY & TRESPASSERS MAY BE PROSECUTED) with Due Permission from Local Police Station & Forest Dept. There are more than 830 steps in the staircase down to where the Water actually falls... And TRUST ME... The view is MIND BLOWING!!!
A water fall view is a breathtaking natural spectacle that captivates the senses. As a cascade of water descends from varying heights, it creates a mesmerizing display of movement and sound. The crystal-clear water plunges into a pool below, sending up refreshing sprays that touch your skin with a cool, invigorating mist. The surrounding landscape is often lush and vibrant, adorned with diverse flora that thrives on the abundant moisture. The thunderous roar of the falling water mingles with the chirping of birds and rustling leaves, creating a harmonious symphony of nature. Sunlight dances off the cascading water droplets, forming rainbows that arch across the scene, adding a touch of magic to the view. The power and tranquility of the waterfall coexist in a delicate balance, reminding us of the raw force of nature's beauty. Whether nestled deep within a dense forest, nestled between towering cliffs, or gracing the heart of a mountainous terrain, a waterfall's allure is universal. It invites reflection, inspiration, and a deep appreciation for the wonders of the natural world. Visiting a waterfall view is not just a visual delight, but an experience that rejuvenates the soul and fosters a profound connection with the planet's extraordinary landscapes.
The enormous Duduma waterfall is located 70 km away from jeypore town in the koraput district. The waterfall altitude is about 3000 feet above sea level . This is one of the highest waterfalls in odisha. The natural scenery of the surrounding hills is attractive as well as amusing. Duduma fall originates in the machakunda river.
Beautiful location with scenic waterfalls. Can easily spend half a day admiring the views, taking a dip in the slower part of the stream and clicking pics.
They have various location where you can see this beautiful waterfall. They also have stairs which can go all the way down where the waterfall touches. But it will take you 1 whole day. Here parking people literally loots so just try to bargain. This place needs to be cleaned and maintained properly.
One of the best waterfall of Odisha. Situated at the border of koraput-malkangiri. Communication road is very nice . From jeypore you have to go through some ghat & village. From lamtaput you have to go through Machhkund road. From machhkund it is about 7km away... local people are very helpful. Dont forget to come with cash as this place has no network coverage & the shopkeepers dont have online payment methods...
This horsetail type waterfall is 175 metres (574 ft) in height and is formed by the Machkund river. It has two sub-waterfalls, one on the Odisha side and the other on the Andhra Pradesh side. Duduma is about 92 km from Koraput and about 177 km from Visakhapatnam. Even though Odisha is settled on the eastern arm of India, the state knows how to attracts tourists travelling from across the globe to its natural vibrancy. Talking of which, there is a waterfall in the Badigada village of Koraput district that is known as one of the highest waterfalls in India, Duduma Waterfall. This waterfall finds its origin from the River Machkund and its water is the backbone of the Machkund Hydro Electric Power Project.
