It was our first time exploring Manali, and Drifter's Inn made all the difference for us. We headed out into Old Manali to walk the furthest we could and grab something to eat and drink when we got tired. We stopped here because we really liked the ambience, the place was empty and yet felt cosy. We ordered dishes that most places don't go wrong with, and they turned out to be Amazing! So much so that we kept ordering more till we couldn't eat more. We asked to thank the chef directly, who turned out to be Garima, the owner. We revisited them two days later, before our trip ended, for some of the best Rajma Chawal the town has to offer. But what added to our meal was a great conversation with Garima, a true Restraunteer and a friend in every Sense!!! A Big thank you for your hospitality.

Hi, I'm sitting in the cafe while writing this review. The singers were great, ambience good. But what's with the quantity of food? You make us wait for 25 mins for a plate of food which isn't sufficient even for one person. This is a cafe not a fine dine, so more than making food look beautiful on plate, please give some thoughts on making the value for money dishes. We bought Chicken Stroganoff with Rice and for the price we paid, it wasn't worth it. Shared the same with the staff there and then and nothing was done about it, hence leaving the place with unpleasant views.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Drifters' Inn & Cafe, and I must say it was nothing short of a disappointment. From the lacklustre burger to the woefully untrained staff, my visit left a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. Let's start with the burger itself. It was an utter letdown. The patty was dry and tasteless as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours before being served to me. The bun was stale and lacked any freshness, making the whole burger feel like a sad excuse for a meal. The toppings were haphazardly thrown together, with no attention to detail or presentation. Overall, the burger was a sad excuse for a culinary creation. Unfortunately, the subpar food was not the only issue. The staff at Drifters' Inn & Cafe displayed a complete lack of professionalism and training. It was evident that they had no knowledge of basic customer service principles. They seemed disinterested and unengaged, failing to make them feel welcomed. I had to wait an unreasonably long time just to place my order, and the staff appeared completely disorganized and confused throughout the entire process. It was clear that they lacked the necessary skills to efficiently run a restaurant. To make matters worse, when I tried to provide feedback about my dissatisfaction with the food and service, the staff was dismissive and unapologetic. They seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns or taking any steps to rectify the situation. This kind of attitude towards customer feedback is unacceptable and speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction at Drifters' Inn & Cafe. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Drifters' Inn & Cafe to anyone looking for a satisfying burger or a pleasant dining experience. The tasteless burger and untrained staff only serve to tarnish the reputation of this establishment. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a quality burger and attentive service.

This was not our first visit to Drifters. We have been there in each of our trips in 2012 & 2017 and the place was very pleasant. Smiling and courteous staff, an elaborate menu and super tasting food. We made another trip to Manali recently and Drifters Cafe was on our must do places list. The experience was horrible. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! First & Foremost, the staff was zoned out. Honestly we felt they were stoned. They took our order and a simple milk shake took almost 1 hour to reach our table. This, when the cafe had only 2 tables occupied, including ours. Another order for Pork Chops was placed and after waiting for a generous 75 minutes, we were told that the order has not been placed. This response we got from the LADY MANAGER who refused to give her name. She was as FRUSTRATED as one can get, as our simple questions pertaining to the order was addressed with a COLD, RUDE & ARROGANT reply from this totally unprofessional lady who claimed to be the manager. Needless to say that more than half the menu was not available for ordering at that time and one had to restrict the order from a minimal selection, which we did. In conclusion, Drifters was once upon a time a great place to be at with friends & family. Today it's a TOTAL DISASTER and should be avoided by all. Tip: Avoid Drifters Cafe, completely, even if u have to sleep hungry. Reply You obviously have no idea of whom you're replying to. There was no South Indian person in your service staff. There was no Rs10 note offered or thrown. There was hardly any plate / food on the table. The full bill was paid respectfully and your lady manager was also handled respectfully despite her MAD & High Headed attitude. Why can't u admit that since the new ownership took over, you guys suck. Pathetic attitude and simply no respect for feedback or improving. You guys are pathetic and don't deserve customers. Firstly you don't have the audacity to kick us or for that matter, anyone out and secondly, as I mentioned in my previous post, I'd rather sleep hungry than come to your stupid and pathetic cafe again. We spent excellent time at Dyllons, Lazy Dog, Fat Plate, Johnson's Cafe, Borans, etc. Wonderful places, awesome staff and great attitude. You can learn customer service from such outlets but I'm sure your fake egos and lousy attitude won't let you do that. All the best in loosing customers as if this continues you will soon shut shop.

They put 10% on top of the stated prices for paying with a card . Good ambience. I was the only one there, but Google said busier than usual so I guess .. me and my many personalities made it busy.. i get a snotty reply from the restaurant saying I should write something valuable.. well.. who's the judge of that?? I did say good ambience because the waiters seemed nice.. i am many times wrong.. plenty of places around with a mountain view.

Had chilly chicken and white sauce pasta. The quantity of chicken was very less, and the pieces were too small. The white sauce pasta tasted very bad. Again less quantity. Overall bad experience.

Still one of the better cafes in the old Manali area. We ordered a veg steak that was pretty good. I ordered the chicken with bacon it was decent too.

This is a cute cafe of two floors. View is of the old manali market and not much of the landscape. There are two very friendly dogs here who will love your indulgence. Their isn't much crowd here but the food is good. It's peaceful. There are board games and novels here but a little dusty and old. Chill music plays on the side throughout and the service is also very comforting. Because of the less crowd preparation time is more than average but the food is fine.
