This is an ancient temple of maa kali, in ancient times the worship was offered by local tribals & common villagers, it is believed to be said that earlier there was practice of human sacrifice which was stopped by Britishers later. The murti of maa kali is siddh.

Rankini Mandir is an age old and ancient worshipping place of Goddess Kali which is more than 600 years old. This temple was a resting place of Sri Sri Chaitanya Dev, when he came through Jharkhand ( mentioned as Jharikhand in Chaitanya Charitamrita) to reach Puri traveling though this place when flood occurred in his regular approach road traversing Howrah. This temple has also mention in literrary works of Bibhuti Bhusan Bandyopadhyay in Bengali. This place situated in Kadma and everyday thousands of devotees visit here with numbers reaching very high during Kali puja and Durga Puja. Clean area, a must visit site.
