We came from Raigarh, in Chattisgarh to consult Dr Rishavdeb Patra, for my son for Hypospadias in September 2020. Got operated in October 2023 at Bhagirathi Neotia, Newtown. Child is now passing urine from the tip. Sir is very caring towards patient well being. Every details was explained prior to surgery.

Let me say, he seems like a very good human being. Very much approachable , kind and warm person. He made us understand the process multiple times and answered all out questions with patience which is rare in Kolkata this days. We were advised Preputial Reconstruction by a senior Pediatrician at Kolkata and was bit scared that we have to opt for operation. We consulted Dr Patra, at Salt Lake for second opinion who told that operation is not required and taught us how to retract the skin backwards and clean with water. Our child was saved from an unnecessary operation. We are very much thankful to him.

Our son had been advised operation for hydronephrosis by a renowned pediatric surgeon of a so called best hospital for child care in Kolkata, we got tensed and almost decided to go out of kolkata for his treatment when we heard of Dr. Patra from my brother's colleague and decided to take his opinion on May'22. Dr. Patra told us that operation is not required immediately and advised us to keep him under observation and repeat the USG after 3Months from a diagnostic center. The repeat usg was normal and having major differences in measurements from the one we did earlier from the same hospital. We repeated USG again in March which again is normal. We recommend everyone to please visit Dr. Patra before doing any surgery for your child as he is highly experienced , always thinks in the best interest of the child and will not do any surgery unneccessarily. We are very thankful to him for saving our child.

We consulted Dr Rishavdeb Patra, in August 2022 for Posterior Urethral Valve. Child is now fine under his treatment. He is not on any medication now. He is passing urine normally and there is no urinary infection. We feel very comfortable with his warm gesture guidance nature..

Excellent Doctor. All doctors had advised phimosis surgery of my 3 yrs old son. But Doctor Patra didnot conduct any surgery. He removed the foreskin very casually in his clinic the same day and prescribed antibiotic and pain killer syrup.
