Dr Ranjan Sharma - Cardiologist in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

So far my experience with Dr Sharma has been positive. I have visited other Doctors for my Father's high blood pressure, but so far had no luck, other Doctors have stuck to same prescription and dosage for years. But Dr Sharma has been actively changing it to yield some results. When my Father suddenly developed High Blood Sugar and we were having trouble to get appointment for an Endocrinologist, Dr Sharma offerred to prescribe medicines himself, and my Father's Blood Sugar is under control now.

Extreme rude doctor. Went with my father. He asked me to get out of the room. He needs to know that he is not offering any free service we are paying a hefty amount for the time he is giving

We've had very poor experience with both Dr. Sharma and Manipal Hospital. Very rude behaviour and induces paranoia in patients. Refusing to listen to the patient's primary complains which was viral fever, he prescribed ecg and tmt tests, which were way off the point. The reports came back and his diagnosis was heart blockage, stent placement and so on. We took a second opinion, the second ecg report surprisingly gave a different picture altogether. Precisely, he treated low pressure and fever with tmt and ECG tests.

We went to see him for a critical patient in one of the well known hospitals of kolkata. He changed all the medicines and put the patient on a new medication course. Within a week, the patient's condition worsened. So we did another round of tests test and observed that many critical parameters had fluctuated wildly. This is still understandable because the patient has multiple health issues and it is possible that the new medication had had an adverse reaction and maybe some of the medicines might have to be changed or their dosage recalibrated. Since the patient's health was spiralling out of control, we wanted to see the doctor right away with the latest reports. We checked the doctor's schedule and saw that we would have to wait for a week to get an appoitment at the initial hospital. Since he was seeing patients at another hospital the next day, we took an appointment at the other hospital. What followed has shook our faith in the people practicing this profession. When we met him at the other hospital and requested him to check the patient's latest reports he rudely refused. He could not give a damn about the patient's well being, instead he started telling us very rudely that we should only visit him at the first hospital. He flatly refused to even read the reports and started accusing us of barging in without an appointment. To be noted here that, we had an appointment and had paid for this visit upfront at the reception. He asked us to take an appointment at the first hospital and only then would he proceed with this case. This doctor is an embodiment of the toxicity that has spread in the medical community like a cancer. Does he even remember the oath that he had taken when he became a doctor?! Does he even have an iota of compassion and concern for his patients? Money is all that matters to this man and human beings are just walking ATMs. This man is not a doctor, he is a sham and a disgrace to the medical community. TLDR; don't go. He is only after your money.

One of the worst cardiologist in Kolkata. Very bad behaviour to patient and patient party. He forced me to do angioplasty under him where as the patient has only 50% blockage in a lower urtery. When we said that we will give a 2nd opinion, his behaviour is too much rude and also threaten me at the time. DO NOT GO TO THE DOCTOR ALSO DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO GO IN HIS CUSTODY.

This doctor will try to fool you saying that your heart is weak even when the reports don't show anything alarming. He might be a very reputed doctor but his intentions are not good. He is only after your money and knows nothing other than that. Please avoid this doctor as I had a very bad experience going to him. If you go to him you will return scared and paniced.

Worst doctor, very rude with his patients. He should understand that he is providing a paid service not any free one.

Extremely rude behavior with my mom, even I am a doctor myself and his student. In any other country doctors will be punished for this kind of behavior with patients. I am sorry that I sent my mom to Dr Sharma.
