My father and mother have been patients of Dr. Balakrishnan since the last 10 years and he has been helping them keep their health since then. Booked for a Pulmonologist Doctor on yesterday over phone and Hospital staff assured Doctor will be available. Usually Dr will come here when patients are available but we have to book on previous day. Today Having cough and asthma drove around 70 km from Thrissur and reached Perinthalmanna. While having breakfast at Perinthalmanna again I have called Hospital and they told to come. Reached at Hospital and paid consultation fee Rs 300/- and i was waiting. Suddenly receptionist called with a smile and told Doctor not feeling well and he will be available on Monday only. I requested them I am not feeling well and please ask whether Doctor having consultation at House. They called Doctor and told he is out of station. Due to some suspicious reply , I have called Doctor and i got an answer Doctor went to Hyderabad for a meeting. Going for a meeting at Hyederabad is not a sudden decision at morning. Actually Hosp receptionist is 1st time calling Doctor at morning only and they understood Dr is out of station & they are telling Dr is not feeling well and on leave. At least if they called Dr on yesterday itself and asked about Dr availability these troubles will not happen.. For me with asthma long drive, time loss etc. And receptionist lying initially Dr not feeling well and on leave. What a service to poor patients... !! Here onwards I will not trust them... Kind request to Hosp management to advise their receptionist.
