Down Hill Village - Guest house in Goa, Anjuna - North Goa, India

We stayed here for 3 days with family . It's a budget option so don't expect much . Owner is friendly and helpful, staff is also responsive and helpful. Location is good , since it's near to beaches. Few things I want to mention. We booked a deluxe room with AC. But it dint really feel like deluxe, rooms are small and the extra sofa that was provided was torn badly, rooms were dusty and was not cleaned before we arrived. We are youngsters so we adjusted because it's budget hotel. Also no AC remote, u have to ask them to switch on AC from outside switchboard. Hot water doesn't run everytime. But owner will arrange it, if u want anything , like adventure packages, scooty/car rent. Since it's a small setup , don't expect much . If u just want a room to stay then please visit.

my stay at down hill village was horrible. the room was dirty, the bed linen was smelling really bad, and although i stayed for four nights, the room was not cleaned once, despite my request. the staff are very shabby and unkempt. they invite their friends over and have parties at night, playing loud music and causing a lot of disturbance. would not recommend this place at all. to be fair, it seems like gabriel was running this place really well. however, he's leased it out and the new operator lives in rajasthan and has no clue what is happening at the property. never make the mistake of booking here.

Safe and you can come here with family and friends, only thing don't like is that they don't change sheets every day need to clean every day, add some Room freshner every day and hot water is mild, owner needs to pay attention to this factor. Also suggest a welcome drink and tea/ coffe every day

Average Rooms with TV,AC,Hot water. (Budget friendly/Suitable for youngsters) Provide Water Sports & Rental Bikes at cheaper rate. Anjuna and Baga beaches are easily accessible. Owner Kalyan Singh & Staff are very helpful. They have a Cat

So the rooms were dirty, not basic maintenance was done. Beds were outdated, means one little jump and it might break. Also while we were sitting outside in the sitting area, the care taker and the owner were arguing with each other loudly infront of us which was unexpected as we were having our dinner. I would not recommend this for couples who wants privacy.. As the rooms are small n connected to passage area,so anyone passing by the room can hear the sound inside the room.

Stayed 1.5 days in this hotel. So first day we booked a normal room without ac. The room before giving us was not cleaned. The keeper of the hotel was a nice guy, after telling he cleaned immediately. The washroom was the dirtiest as the one before us has stained with pan masala. We had to wash that. The wardrobe was dirty with previously kept mask, napkins and all. The room was infested with cockroaches too. There is no ventilation in the room as the window are closed with plastic from outside. It made us sick. In one word we had to ask for everything to the hotel keeper.The next day we had to extend as our bus was late evening. The owner/manager gave us a deluxe room with a discounted price. He seems to be a nice guy. That room was relatively bigger. But again it was dirty. Washroom was dirty. The ac was working at a constant temperature. We found a centipede on the floor too. Every time we need to ask to change bedsheet and covers as they won't clean from the previous stay. Dustbin was not there we asked for it. We got used one. Rather than the room u will feel to sit outside in the lawn for fresh air. I'm utterly disappointed and won't recommend. Thanks.

The room was small but good for the price paid in Goa. Staff Himanshu was helpful. An extra mattress was provided but they don't provide towels. The area is calm and peaceful.

it was a great place. The Person who manages(Rajeshrathod) over here was really helpful person. He helped us book the taxi and scooty rental. the location was just perfect. it is a safe place. great place for friends, couples and solo traveler. The stay felt so homely. 5 star for the workers who work here. great people. great stay it was.
