To reach the waterfall, take an from panvel station to dhondhaneshwar mandir or dodhani village. Auto charged Rs. 500 for 4 people. Rickshaw available outside the local station. It took us 45 minutes to reach the village from station. Beautiful views enroute.
The village to waterfall path is well defined. You can ask a local for guidance. probably pay him to take you to the fall. It shall take a 45 minute walk (Easy hike to reach the fall). We went further up to Monkey Point Matheran which is a moderate rocky trek (). It took us 2 and half hours to reach the dasturi naka, matheran. Those driving can keep dodhani waterfall on google map and park a car at this village (mentioned above)
basic food is available on route though it is advisable to carry your own snack and water.
The trail has beautiful flowers and river crossing
You will need proper trekking shoe or sturdy footwear
There is no changing room or toilet around waterfall.
If you get to top of waterfall (go with local guide) then you can find infinity pool in peak monsoon
Visited September 2023
We were only group when we reached at 830 am (started from Panvel at 630 am ) few 6 7 others came around 930 10 am so the place is not crowded
do not litter please
Dodhani Waterfall is accessible from Panvel & Neral. To reach the waterfall you need to trail for approx. 45 minutes. The trail will involve crossing small streams of water. The waterfall is small & around two storey in height.
Since there's no police watch out, drinkers are more in number, & loiter the place. Travelling in groups is advisable. You will find very few stalls for food. Stock & go.
And do not litter

Less explored waterfall. Less crowded.
Three stage waterfall but last stage i.e. base is deal for general crowd.
One can find rappelling activities above the base point.
Ideal for : All crowd. Safe for children and womens. Crowd can be seen drinking.
Cleanliness : Good till it is less known but people litter wrapper, plastic bottles.
Difficulty level and Trek : Easy. Children and women can walk through paddy fields and small stream and rivers. Large and small waterfalls can be seen at the site.
But during heavy rainfall, a river flow will make it difficult to cross but then you can enjoy playing in river through 1-2 kms stretch. Its a 30 -35 min to reach at the base.
But be careful about the weather and rains, while travelling near waterfalls and rivers.
Please ask or accompany a localite for right path. Even Children does it. They charge Rs.100-200 for it. ( One can bargain).
Food outlets: Few shops at the village were available while 2-3 snacks stalls were not open during weekdays (Not aware about weekends) but some google reviews mentioned, food arrangements from locals. It is better you carry snacks or food to avoid inconvenience.
Activities : Rappelling are noticed when organised by individual adventurer groups.
Travel time : Around 40 min drive from Panvel. We went from Navi Mumbai crossing Kalundre river.
Transportation : Travel by car / two wheeler. ST bus from Panvel Depot but frequency is less.
Its a less explored and clean waterfall; so please keep it clean and don't litter, to experience it for long time.
Amazing place... Lovely waterfall...we have to take a kid from Dhodhani village to show us a way to waterfall as we cannot find it on our own..( He/she will charge 200). Best place to visit after monsoon as river crossing won't be easy. There's a small shop nearby waterfall where we can get snacks and tea. Weekdays are not much crowded very less people visit this place during week days..Sunday's are crowded according to locals.
Love this place it may underrated but wanna to be rated like some people said the panvel was khandar but yarr look this place you fallen in love with it and you also have a chance to swim with fishes and they all are freindly you must visit it
Beautiful n peaceful.... But trekking is compulsory
We went to Maldunge near by Dodhani. The atmosphere was pleasant. Specially in rainy season.
Lovey waterfall. You have to take a kid from the dodhani village who will guide you (Rs200) till the waterfall. Its not possible to find it on our own. We also bought some fresh vegetables on our way of trek. There's a small shop just at the waterfall for tea and snacks and they're very sweet. The kid /our guide was also very sweet and helpful. There was a monkey too who took away our food box.
But we enjoyed a lot.
There were no other people as it was a friday.
Sundays are crowded as per the villagers.
The place is superb. You cant be this close to nature elsewhere. It gives you a feeling of Himachal/Kashmir.
Deboard at Neral station and take share taxi going to matheran charges 100 rs and ask driver to stop at Peb fort trek base point. Trek on railway track up to 2 km and reach there. Serene place and view is also awesome. I have added both pics in mons

Place is between lush forests, closer to nature. They have a good range of rooms available for familys, couples and groups of friends. The best part is the meal options they have, which is included in your package itself. Both veg and nonveg are avai
