Dominican Monastery - Monastery in Daman - Daman, India

Very nice place for couples as you can click plenty of photos. It's a very well mentained historical place. You have ample parking places outside for your vehicles. We loved it very much. You can also photoshoot if you are planning to do fort photoshoot.

The old lighthouse is walking distance from it or you can visit via by car or activa, Dominican Monastery is very fantastic place, also you can enjoy garden, very well maintained.

Dominican Monastery is very beautiful and unique inside daman fort. It has beautiful garden too.

It was a nice experience visit the fort the views for the top was really amazing I have share some amazing views for the top of the fort

Dominican Monastery, situated in the fort of Moti Daman, is frequently referred to as the Ruined Church. Most travellers visit this archaeological landscape to witness its curiosity provoking sight. It was considered as the most prestigious church in the territory. The monastery is said to have been erected in 1567 in remembrance of Saint Dominic. Christians offered their prayers, and theological teachings were provided to scholars who moved to the monastery from across the globe. It is believed that the destruction of the church was caused by an earthquake. The construction workers who built the church employed the classic Portuguese architectural methods, which can be noticed in the other ancient churches of the territory. The visitors get to observe the monastery's arches and walls that withstood the earthquake.

Beautiful ruins. Loved it. It is located within the Moti Daman fort complex. The old lighthouse is walking distance from it.

Ambience is amzing.. You can have good photoshoots here such as bride photoshoots group photos...Garden full of flowers of various colours. Nice place to sit and relax with your loved ones.
