After the renovation works the government hospital of chengannur becomes very hygeine and facilities are very good. car parking space also available. There you will get OP for just 5Rs and medicines are free of cost. For bpl pople the op ticket also free i think. The doctors are well talented and experienced. I visited the hospital for one of my friend for the treatment of dog bite he only need to give 5Rs for the entire treatment 4 days of injuctions are free of cost. Very good service by the health department of kerala. This is what it makes kerala different and high in health department than any other states of kerala and abroad

Good hospital. Clean and hygienic environment especially after the renovation. Experienced and skilled doctors. Parking facilities available. Canteen is also present for staff and patients. Visit early morning (8-9) for consultation when the rush is low.

An affordable place. The op ticket cost rs.5. most ops are closed most days so confirm before. The casualty duty doctor attends op tickets too, therefore normal physician visits are forwarded there most time. The young duty doctor I visited is extremely approachable and he takes care in explaining the situation to the patient. Highly recommended. Every staff is well mannered even when the crowd gets rowdy. People always except unnecessary favours in the name of silly reasons and keeps complaining about staff. But they are just doing their duty. The place is really crowded almost all the time. And 2 prominent queues are for op tickets and medicine. Also the medicine is free. The buildings are very old and dirty. This should change. They lack maintenance. The structure dims the effort of the staff. Government should provide adequate funds for renovation and availability of prescription medicines.

A good hospital which just got better. You can take OP tickets for Rs.5 from the OP counter. For people who are BPL and for kids, it's given free of cost. The recently instituted Mother-Child Hospital Block is a great addition. The place is so neat and clean. You also have parking space there. Friendly and courteous staff.

The duty doctors in the evening Shift was arrogant and ignorant, my 5 years old son met with an accident a few days ago and had stitches on his head and the doctor had instructed us to get him for dressing every alternate day. During day time the hospital is full of covid patients. So we thought to take him in the evening for dressing that time the hospital is almost empty. When I went with my son for dressing the hospital was completely empty. Doctors and staff were sitting idle. But the shift doctor refused to do the dressing and asked us to come next day when hospital is crowed. If at all there is a rule as such they are not suppose to do dressing in the evening time, they should have the humanity to do so,but the lady (shift incharge) doctor categorically denied even when the nurses were sitting idle .Security staff they close the front gate so that they can sit and relax. You'll have to wait outside the gate and search for staff until the watchman will come and open the gate for you.

Iam from mumbai.. Once I visited this hospital, this has very hygenic atmosphere, with good facilities Parking areas are little congested.. But overall it is very good.. There is not foul smell in this hospital. Patients are given extra care, 3-4 ambulances are there in hospital if any emergency gets it helps a lot to patients.. Nurse and doctors are very friendly to patients.. These types of good government hospitals are very rarely seen in India.. I give 5 stars to all the staffs and the doctors in these hospital...

This hospital does not even require ratings.the worst hospital I ever have seen.especially the dentist and the skin doctors.i have heard many people saying about these doctors who behave with the patients very badly. Their attitude is too much.most of them they are sitting idle as now patients are not coming there because of their attitude.

Almost all specialities are there in the hospital with adequate number of doctors and 24*7 Casuality & ambulance service . The new MCH block is also well appreciable . The specialities include General Medicine , General surgery , palliative care, ENT , ophthalmology, psychiatry , Clinical psychology, obstetrics and gynaecology, pediatrics ,Dermatology , orthopedics , physical medicine and rehabilitation . Day time lab and X-ray , 24 hour ECG are also available in the hospital. Decent parking is available near the MCH block .
