No. LAW 135 CAD 63 (VIII) dated 27.09.1965 and started functioning w.e.f. 01.11.1965. It is presently located in the heart of the city of Hassan, opposite to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences. The District Court has been vested the powers to decide both Civil and Criminal Cases arising within the Jurisdiction of Hassan District. The District Court has administrative control over all the staff of Subordinate Courts working in the District. The District Court is empowered to withdraw and transfer suits, appeals or other proceedings pending before District Court or in any other Court in the District to any subordinate court in the District competent to try such suit or proceedings for disposal.

Nice infrastructure. Looks good. Well maintained

It's really nice experience for me only because of the judge sir he was very nice to me and made me comfortable to talk and they also asked me which language you prefer so I told Hindi or English and then they started in English and he was very kind too and there is no other problems as he just asked 2 questions which is required to close my case and I would say based on your locality and genuine nature they gives decision so please don't hide anything which you have done and not telling otherwise you will be catch easy and they can give you more fine amount so I would request everyone to be kind and respectful towards judge because after this experience I would say your nature plays a role a lot and based on your nature and genuine acceptance they will even reduce your fines too. And only thing I feel the boy on the door who always speaks everyone's names one by one he told or listen wrong name of mine and my time was 11am slot and due to his misunderstanding my name my turn gone and then they postponed my time slot to 3pm so hope this spot guys speak right name so that other peoples won't wait for whol day because I missed my train of 4pm from Hassan to Bangalore and then again 4:50pm train also I missed. So there will be case might be inside person told wrong name and he Conway the same but they should speak right name so we can listen the right name and I also went to guy when he told Ramesh name and my name is dharmesh so I asked him is it dharmesh? Then he told no sir it's Ramesh not dharmesh so this small mistake will delayed our whole day and my work was just 5 mins with judge talking and decision and then pay fine to next stage so for that I waited full day there only because of this small mistake. Otherwise overall experience was nice. And this 4* rating only because of judge nature and behaviour towards us.

The district court building is one of the latest landmarks of Hassan city in South Karnataka. The building is located opposite the KSRTC bus station outside the railway gate. It is painted all red like other highcourt buildings in the state.

Bad washroom. Good parking. Clean area
