District Co-Operative Hospital, Thodupuzha (IDCH) - Hospital in Thodupuzha - Idukki, India

I went to this hospital recently for my father. Doctor's are good. This hospital lacks in infrastructure. The xray machine at there itself seems like 10years old. Staff's attitude is also not so satifiable. I feel it was a total waste of money.

Gross mismanagement. Unresponsive staff. Patients are called very randomly. Token system is a joke. Very very poor in terms of responding to queries.Go there only If u want to waste a whole day for nothing

When I was a sick I went to cooperative hospital Thodupuzha. had an appointment with DR. Reji. He is simply suberb with good manner and his treatment also nice.But I have faced worst experience from Sister BEENA THOMAS the staff of DR Reji. Her attitude towards patient is not at all considerate and well mannered.

Good experience, The facilities are avarage, except some departments like dental department.I can give a rating of 5 stars for the dental clinic and and their treatment gor patients.

Worst hospital. Nobody here knows anything. Nurses are just dumb. They just don't know what to do and when to do. I got admitted here for three days after an accident and my wounds got severely infected after their careless treatment. I would have needed to cut my leg if I stayed there more. Even the doctors doesn't know what actions to be taken for a patient. Never visit if you want to save your life

Good hospital. Nice staff. But the facilities are less compared to other giants in Thodupuzha. But i see this as a developing hospital. There are lot of construction going on. The parking facility is good but not great. There are no underground parking facilities. The entrance are wheelchair friendly. There is a small canteen available here at the rear side.

If you're planning on going here to get a paid Covid vaccine shot, Make sure that you pay the government stipulated rate of Rs780/- only for it. The con artists here would demand and compel for an extra Rs20 for 3 paracetamol tablets and will only give you a bill for Rs780/- without mentioning about the extra Rs20. Which means that money is off the record and unaccounted. Also be prepared to wait for your turn under the sun in a large crowd for two to two and a half hours to get your vaccine. Also expect rude and pushy behaviour from the staff for being a part of that crowd there due to their own lame management and delayed service rendered to people who did nothing wrong but turn up at their respective alloted times. If one had a clue about the circus here, one would have opted for a government vaccine centre, that way one would have atleast saved Rs800.

My mother was admitted to this hospital for a surgery and she was given excellent care for two weeks post surgery. Four star is only for the lack of infrastructure. The doctors/nursing care are at par with the best in the sector.
