The place is called Golden Dreams Guesthouse now. I had an amazing experience including cleanliness of the room, great food, breathtaking view from the rooftop and staff hospitality. I wasn't expecting this quality from the price. Will definitely come back.

Most important thing is to know about the location. The place is situated around 0.5km from famous Ghanta ghar and has all eatery and shops nearby. Since its situated in Old part of city little conjusted, narrow lanes, where cars do go but hard at peak times.It's old rajasthani home with steep stairs but a good experience. Family room was too huge and bright other small rooms are little darker. The terrace view is as shown in picture, you will get the feel of Fort. Rooms are clean as mentioned in most of comments. If you want home made rajasthani food go for the dinner. Asif was very helpful and entire family were so humble and courtoes. If you want to live in hotel with staffs don't prefer it. If you want to have homestay experience surely go for it.

Super sejour, nous avions reserve pour une nuit et sommes finalement restes trois nuits. Tres bel hotel, terrasse sur le toit avec une superbe vue sur la ville et le fort de jodhpur. Proche de toutes commodites et des principales attractions touristiques. Personnel tres accueillant. Chambre spacieuse, magnifiquement decoree, parfaitement propre et lit vraiment tres confortable. Nous recommandons vivement et reviendrons avec plaisir. Merci!

Vraiment un bel endroit !! Les chambres sont fraiches et la vue depuis la terrasse est immense! Les repas sont vraiment bons et les hotes sont tres chaleureux a la maison. Really a beautiful place !! This is one of the most friendliest family own guesthouse i have been in Jodghbur. Raj, the owner, Gina, his wife , Asif, son and Sona, daughter made our stay like home and was there wherever we need assistance with our needs. We ate here during our stay , the foods was delicious, fresh and portion size was reasonable with price. Gina is such a amazing cook, she makes everything with her heart and soul. We had a great time here and will come back to see them again. Thankyou Raj for all your wonderful help and your beautiful family.

Parfait! Guest house familiale. Le gerant parle francais. Ils ont pris soin de moi alors que j'etais malade (je voyage seule), ils ont tous les services necessaires pour etre tranquil (change, laundry service, reservation de bus...) Ils ont ete tres arrangeant avec moi, repondant parfaitement au moindre besoin. J'ai vraiment eu l'impression davoir ete accueillie dans ma propre famille. Tout a ete simple. Ils m'ont donne une belle chambre. Situe en plein coeur de la ville, entre le marche et le fort accessible a pied, c'etait un plaisir. La cuisiniere prepare de bons plats, a la commande, avec le sourire. Allez y!

FOREIGNERS PLEASE USE THIS REVIEW AS A VERY STRICT REFERENCE This is a very old house which has been built to accommodate visitors as it used to belong to the Owner's grandfather or possibly even before than. The place is situated right in the heart of the city, bringing a car here is next to impossible. The place is self is old, but good enough for a few night stay. The rates to stay are not bad, especially for the view you get. I personally stayed the night with 5 other people in the grand room with 3 beds in it. The washroom was tight but satisfactory. The toilet doesn't flush very often so if you have multiple people coming to use the washroom, I suggest the last person flush otherwise the waste will stay over night and make the washroom stink. Just a thing I noted. The family gladly offers to buy you what you need and although it is convinient, I suggest you buy your own things yourself as they obviously charge a premium. Possibly ask them what restaurants they suggest and where the local Alcohol Store is and take a Riksha to those places. Buying the water bottles and sodas there is completely finely priced. The rickshas down from the hotel, you will notice them once you explore the area, will recognize you are from the hotel and charge you roughly 1000-1300 rupees to travel three main tourist attractions. To roughly name them, one is the Fort you can see from the roof top, one is Mahal made in memory for the husband by his wife, and another one is where the Maharaja of Rajasthan currently lives. DO NOT AGREE TO THESE PRICES. I walked down into the city away from these people and got a rate of 600-700 rupees for all three. They will wait for you outside, and take their number so you can save the walk from the tourist attraction to the rickshaw parking. The drivers down the street from the hotel are commissioned to the hotel, and we overheard the Father of the hotel throw a very large Fit over the fact that they offered us a original price of 700. The in house restaurant is something I didn't try, but I ordered a Full Tandoori Chicken, although it was fantastic, they charged large hotel prices for it. Thus why I suggest you ask them good places to visit for food and go out yourself. It'll also let you explore the city. I had seen another staying customer get a large plate of shrimp and it looked good, but I'm not sure about how it was priced. The women there work through out the day and early morning you won't find both the Son or Father to order anything like tea or breakfast so you can definitely go to the women and say an order if you can speak Hindi or manage to piece some words together and get your message across. Over all the place is a Guest House and you might not like some of the 'house' norms if you can actually see them, which many Foreigners cannot. It's worth a stay if you want to be in the city but I do not suggest more than one night. The view is fantastic and something breath taking but definitely not managed well like a hotel should be compared to the North American standard. Don't judge a book by its cover, or in other words don't let the pictures fool you. And consider a locals review more than a foreigners for the things I've noted above.
