This station is clean and very good and hygiene place. waiting hall is too good and safe and railway police always available day and night. All facilities available but drinking water is not good because Assam water is not good its taste different.Here Assam rifles training and recruitment centre is 5km distance and one medical college near it and one big stadium.

One of the small town railway station in the state of Assam. Platform is very clean and well maintained. One Medical College newly established in the small town. Surroundings environment and beauty is very good. Beautiful journey from Gauhati to Diphu. Place will be rapidly changing as Medical College going to start soon. Construction is in full swing. There is 2 nos platform in this station. Proper sitting arrangements and drawing water is available.

A calm cool looking place with lots of development potentials. Doing business here is very tough due to local troubles. Though, they are themselves not involved in the area development instead extortion in the name of countless donation demands through out the year from business entrepreneurs by various mashroomed unions are common here. Hope, someday they'll think of the image and development of their ample potential town too.
