Digha Mohona Watch Point - Tourist attraction in Digha, Begundiha - Medinipur East, India

Beautiful place for walking beside sea. Not ideal for people who doesn't like Fishy smell. Because as it is an estuary(mohnaa), there are so many fishing boat that are unloaded here. Besides that all are good. You can buy fresh fish here and they will packed it in thermocol box with ice.

This place is very beautiful specially at the time of sun rise and sun set. You can enjoy taking photo with scenic beauty. Also you can buy the fresh sea fish from Mohna fish Market.

A nice place to visit and spend the early morning when all the trawlers return to shore and all types of fishes are distributed and sold in the market near this beach... The only thing that is lacked here is cleanliness.... I won't say that it's dirty but needs to be more clean and we can bring that initiative by not throwing litters around , instead we should through garbages in dustbins.. You can come here directly either by reserving an auto/toto or by shared auto/toto from old Digha.... Best time to visit is 6 am - 8 am in the morning.. But if you want to see sunrise too you have come early according to the sun rise time..

Digha Mohona beach is famous for its fish markets. But if you visit the place early morning, you will witness the cleanest reflection on the seashore and it's very picturesque. Nowadays the route from old digha (beside Seahawks hotel) is opened and it's very easy to drive to the place avoiding the bad patches of the old route. Bought hilsas of 1.5-2kg weight from this place in 2023 monsoon at a very reasonable rate (Rs 1100-1200 per KG), but the taste was pathetic. So if you are good at identifying good quality fish, then only buy from this place.

My personal favourite site in the whole Digha tour! This place looks best at the time of sunrise (4:45 - 5 AM). Do give it a visit to feel the breath of fresh air & obviously if you wanna grab some fresh fish from the marketplace.

This is the end point of the Mohona sea beach. The sunrise and sunset look spectacular from here. But it is not available all the time as the water can rise above it. So there are policemen to guard at all times. You can also observe the several types of fishes available in the market and buy them after proper bargaining.

Smelly and no proper infrastructure. Extremely dirty and crowded. Lack of transportation is a major concern. We have to pay 1000 for 10 mins. The distance is less than 5 km from Old Digha.

Sea and river converge at Digha Mohana Sunrise View. This Mohana marks the confluence of the Champa River and the Bay of Bengal. From this Mohana, the Champa River emerges. You may see the sunrise from this mohana, as well as the large waves of the ocean, dried fish shops, large boats, different booths, tea shops, and vast gardens full of trees. A paved road leads directly into the ocean as well. You may enjoy the beautiful view of the sea from this road and witness it firsthand.Sunrise and the world's largest fish market are Digha Mohana's two key draws. Every year, a sizable number of travelers visit to view it.
