Maharaja Chhatrasal Museum is a museumlocated in an old palace at Dhubela, on the Chhatarpur-Jhansi highway, in Chhatarpur District, Madhya Pradesh, India. This museum was established in September, 1955 in a palace built by Chhatrasal. Presently, the museum comprises 8 galleries, of which two galleries display inscriptions, copper plates, Sati pillars, lingas and inscribed images of the Gupta and Kalachuri period. The museum houses a wide range of sculptures of the Shakti cult. It has also a significant collection of Jaina images. It also displays the garments, weapons and paintings of the Bundela kings.
It is the fresh water lake surrounded by historical monuments related to Bundela Empire. State Tourism Board constructed theme based sitting areas and interpretation centers from where tourist can enjoy the beauty of the lake.
Beauty beside dubela lake is unmatched, but highly ignored by MP tourism and govt. Need to uplift tourist facility and cleanliness surrounding the architect.
Excellent excursion both by cycle and on foot. Clean surrounding and clear water. Visit but please do not litter. Help in maintaining the natural beauty of the place.
The place Dhubela is one of the famous place of Maharaja Chatrasal. The place Dhubela(mausania) is located approx 10km to the city named Nowgaon and also approx 20km from Chatarpur. When you reached Mausania you have to move 1km from thier for Dhubela. As you reached their the feeling like a warrior comes from inside of your heart like you also become like as a Maharaja chatrasal. The place welcomed you by open heart. As you park your vehical you see a big garden with different kinds of trees and in front of them you see a building which is a museum. As you entered the museum you see a different-different things like different kinds of old guns and Tops(hindi word)and many types of sword and different types of old weapons .You also the kings clothes of that time and many other things. As you came out of the museum you see a big lake behind the museum where you sit all day peacefully if you want to.from the lake you also seen a fort at some distance which is the Queen's fort .Their were some ancient stories about the Queen that they walk on the water of that lake and they dipped where they want to .These kinds of stories make that place more interesting to watch. So i think you have to watch this place once in your life.
A good place to click pictures and record videos. You can also go and sit by the lake to relax your mood specially during evening hours or in early morning, feels peaceful.
Best place for picnic spot near by chattarpur. This place is made by the Maharaja chatrashal. Museum is very good . Here is a mastani Mahal . History is associated about mastani Mahal. You can see lake here. Sun set is the best scene to see here. Different mirror are kept in museum. Historical things can be seen in museum.
An idyllic place, a small lake tucked away in a jungle. Simplicity strikes u! Fishing could be quite a joy here in the serene environs, though I m not sure if it were permissible. A narrow serpentine road breaks out from the hChhatarpur Highway to lead you to Dhubela Palace, official residence of Prince Chhatrasal of erstwhile Panna state 17th C India. In ruins. Parking free. I felt like smoking on a good cigarette here, far from the madding crowds. No way! July - Sept is said to be the period worth visiting this place. I will remember not to miss a can or two of good chilled beer next time. And yes, there is no wheelchair parking facility here
