Dhosi Ki Pahadi (India's Extinct Volcano) - Featured Reviews (335)
One of the best places to visit in the Southern Haryana. Wonderful view from the top of the hill. In the middle of the hill there is a idol of Lord Hanuman ji and some other temples. When you reach almost at the top, you have to go downward approx. 200 mtr if you want to take a bath into the well(kund). Somvati Amavasya is the best occasion to visit this place. You can enjoy such a stupendous visit.
Beautiful place the view is amazing ilove it .. There is two entries gate in different directions The stairs are made of stones, please climb carefully. There is some temple on top of the mountain. There is also a well above. There is also a small shop upstairs where water bottles can be found and some food items are somewhat expensive. Please take some things to eat and drink from below. And don't litter. The whole view from the top of the mountain is very beautiful. If you are close to this place then please do visit.
The temple is also home to a number of other shrines dedicated to other Hindu deities. Shiv Mandir is a peaceful and tranquil place, and is a great place to visit to learn about Hindu culture and religion. The temple is also a great place to come to pray and to seek spiritual guidance.
Very adventurous place must visit
This hill is around 750 meter from sea level and is an extinct volcano. There are only single digit number volcanos in India. Here last eruption was around 750 million years ago.Wonderful place to hangout with friends and family. You can go there anytime of year, but this place looks spectcular during monsoon season.Early morning hiking is recommended so you can witness a beautiful sunrise. There is no shop on hill so better take eatables before hiking.
This extinct volcano is in Haryana near the Rajasthan border. There are two side from which you can climb up the hill. I would suggest that you go from Thana village side as that has shelter and water facility in between the stairs at short intervals. Also that is the shorter distance. The best season to go to Dhosi is post monsoon or Winters as in summers the region is too hot. It is most beautiful in September as there is greenery all around and blue sky with cotton clouds in the sky. Make sure you have water bottles, caps and shades on to avoid excess heat. When you reach the top you'll find the very beautiful centre of the extinct volcano where there are temples, ponds and beautiful cows. It's a very beautiful place to visit. Just for safety, make sure you don't go to the place alone if you're not familiar with the region. Try going with your friends or some guide.
Very good place everyone must visit. Small trek of 40 mins, on too there is a temple and a beautiful historical place. Please see video for full info.
Lovely trek. Quite steep at one end. There should be more shed on ube way
